"He told Freddy, 'Allow yourself to be young,' " Moawad said. "He said, 'Things that present themselves to you now will be there in four years.' He told Freddy not to splurge on his first car, just to get something simple and get something nicer later. It was really thoughtful stuff."

Let's hope our "wunderkinder" will heed the advice from a very wise young man! After the whole frat party incident I think he has really turned a corner.

VAMOS UNITED!

I thought that Freddy claimed he was "not in LA for a media freakshow."

How much closer can you get to media freak than Steve Urkel?

The LA Standard for a media freakshow is very different from the rest of the world.

Urkel sighting - hitting (fruitlessly) on Lorrie Fair. Quite amusing.

Aw, but a media freak who survived the dreaded teen stardom trap, in which so many kids who make it big early crash and burn. I think Freddy's mom was pretty smart, if she was the one responsible for setting up this meeting.

The article said his agent set it up. Either way, a good move.
