7:00 pm eastern standard or 0100 HT-time.

This is it guys. My moment of absolute glory in the face of certain defeat and disappointment. I sucessfully PICed my last league match and played a squad of mostly scrubs. (BS Cup opponents take note) So now I am ready to bring my A- game to whatever collection of sad sacks of ******** that Goon's decides to bring to the Supercollider.

My lineup will be very similar to the lineup from my last cup match. With that lineup I pulled an all time high 140 Hatstats rating on 35 stars.

G's Goons' last cup match saw him bring a 200 rating. His last league match against Tombstone Titans he drew the highest ratings in the nation at 312. Clearly he played his A team during the week. So, I expect to see a team very similar to the team that played in the cup last week.

My question for you guys is this.... should I even bother MOTSing this match? My next league match is fairly tough and on the road. The week after I play Diaspora on the road I will have to play Cool Hand Lukes on the road so I will almost certainly have to PIC the Diaspora match.

I want to MOTS, but I don't know that it will be worth the team spirit hit.

Anyways, post your advice, well wishes, offerings to the HT-gods, bribes, insults, and or taunts here.

:D

Has your team ever had a game this huge? MOTS it baby. A chance, and you do have a chance, to knock a MLS team out of the Cup is not to be missed.

It's just a game, so roll the dice and take a chance.

You gotta do it, if not for yourself, then for Lonestar and cyclones, both of whom have been in the ML, knock off an ML team :D Who knows, then you may get the Wizards in the next round. :D You expecting a sell out?

How did you get your coaches name to be Bob Gansler? Is it because you were around at the beginning of the USA region?

Speaking as an overrated underachiever, let me assure you that any team in this round forward is ripe for taking.

Well, not my team, since I had a walkover this Sunday and get to play my starters. But I guarantee you we still see V and VI teams as cupcakes. Bring the noise.

(Hell, I've got a D5 team on Wednesday with a solid midfield. I didn't have a solid midfield when I was in D2. WTF?)

That's not me, that user wizards, he got me started... I'll tell you how he got that name... let's just say it got changed for him... probably shouldn't have but there was something he did and was rewarded.. it would be very nice if that didn't make it to the Hattrick conferences actually. It was changed about 3 years ago.

I'm not rooting for you to be knocked off, I was wanting him to knock of G Goons to possibly help you move farther in the cup :D

I would say go for it, MOTS

The league will be there every season, but how often do you get a chance to knock off a Major Leaguer?

Play all your best players, MOTS, throw the dung and go for it.

Yeah, do it for me. That way should you win and we somehow meet in the next round, you'll be playing with an ailing TS.

I was discussing this with some of the guys on the BDF boards and they agree that MOTsing won't really help enough to bring a result, so I will probably just normal the match, but maybe play pressing with my guys. The team I have assembled has good stamina and a lot of defensive secondaries so I am thinking I should be able to at least keep it close and respectable.

I'm not going to make up my mind until the last possible minute though.

I want to go down in a blaze of glory, and I hope that I put a nice cleat mark in the achilles tendon of one of his multi million dollar trainees.

Win or lose Henderson United is pulling for ya.

Even bought some of them Hattrick Credits so I can "watch" the match on my cellphone just in case I'm not at home when it starts!

Would you like some members of the tartan Army to run out and cut off a leg or two from the Goons?

MOTS, the only way it gets bigger than this is if you draw Tombstone titans, the defending champ.

Good game Deut--you kept it close for a long while. Nothing to be ashamed of with that performance.

Nope, Not at all. However, I feel like If I had MOTSed it that the result would have been even closer. Because 65% posession isn't that huge.

Oh well.

There is always next season. Now I get to pound DRK in the BS Cup. :D
