Coming out on the 24th and you can listen to it on vh1.com. I'm still deciding, but a guy that's got John playing bass on a track can't be all bad.

I like it. It's a much more pop/radio sound than the Old 97's, but that's the direction they were going in anyway. There's at least 3 tracks on that disc that could be hits, and it's a crime if radio ignores him. I heard him play a bunch of these new songs live earlier in the year when he was doing his residency at Fez in NYC, and between them and the Old 97 standards, he's got a fantastic show to tour with for this record.
My wife thinks he's a doll, so he's got that going for him...

Heard the first single on a couple of my towns AAA stations. One of the best singles I've heard in a while. If he's touring maybe I can use the "he's a doll" angle to get my wife to go with me. The Old 97's kick ass live.
