Another top notch Internet retailer. Snazzy website but crappy backend. Leave them some negative feedback.

Is it still pending as an order in amazon's system? I don't know if it is given that it's a third party. If it, I'd cancel it that way, there are other ways to buy it.

If not, I'd call up the credit card company and tell them that you're disputing that charge and email Caiman.com to cancel the order. Like I said, there are other places to buy it from.

Don't forget to say goodbye to everyone you have any kind of important relationship with.

Amen.

And I was wrong, I didn't get it from Gamestop -- it was GoGamer.com. I got it back in November, and it's the rest of the world's version, Football Manager 2005, even though it shipped from California.

nope, its shipped. I just do not know where it is. Caiman claims to not have any tracking, which is bogus. I sent another email to someone else. An Caiman has like 4.5 stars at Amazon and all thre feedback I read said they were really fast and really easy to work with.

they are crap

Oh c'mon... I found 30 minutes last night to eat dinner with my girlfriend... which of course she cooked because I couldnt tear myself away from the computer.

Yes folks - my inauguration day here in DC has been dominated by the two most pressing issues known to me at this time - does Mostovoi have anything left in the tank to guide Forrest to the premiership, and why won't Frank De Boer pick up his play in the last year of his contract??? :D

Hi Fellow WSM addicts.

Here's a problem I'm having that drove me to throw a tantrum like a toddler the other day. I finished my first season as DC United Manager, and guided the team to the MLS Championship game (lost to SJ). I was ready for a great off-season of moves when the draft came around. There was a normal draft, which was useless. It just had the A-league players in it. Then all of a sudden there was a supplemental draft and Freddy Adu was stolen from me!!!! Is there something I could have done to prevent this? I had signed him to a contract extension, but he was just a youth player. Was there a way to protect him? My other young players were also thrown in the draft, but I didn't care about them as much.

Any ideas?

ok, so caiman has 90% positive and 3% neutral and 7% negative at amazon. I read the feedback and it looks like 1 in every 20 or so is real slow, looks like I just won the lottery

Hey, IB4C, how have the real Forrest players been for you? Kris Commons has consistently been about the best player on my team up into the 2011-2012 season (though actually, I just left to take over Liverpool -- long story). Adam Newbold was killer (even though in the game he's 17 at the beginning of the current [real time] season, but the NF website says he's 22 or 23, I think) until we got near the top of the prem, now he doesn't cut it. And Michael Dawson is the rock upon which the team is built, no matter what big names I bring in. I know Dawson has been talked about in the real world as a target for some prem teams. How do they do for you?

Imposter,

I'm in the middle of the second season and currently sitting in 3rd place... big jump from last year.

Real Forrest players are a big part. Dawson has also been the rock of my team, consistently getting 3 million plus offers even though I have him listed as untouchable. I'm keeping him no matter what. Commons was on my reserves last year but I have him as a key player this year. He hasnt scored but is consistently among the top performers. Marlon King has been huge, my top scorer, even if last year he was openly criticizing me in the media. Andy Reid was great last year but I wanted to add depth so I sold him for 3.5 million and bought around eight new players. Hjelde and Doig are still regulars in my defense, and Paul Gerrard is still my backup keeper. Kubelskis has also nicely developed. I am also getting good contributions from Johnson and Evans, even if I actually just sold both in the January transfer window. Biggest disappointments still are Bopp and Taylor... both are rotting in the reserves and I cant get rid of them.

Otherwise, I am continuing to develop the Newbold, Roberts, Dawson etc... axis in the reserves, but sent scouts to France and Scandanavia and they came up with some gems that are starting to really make an impact. I also got Quincy Owusu Abeyie from Arsenal and that's paying dividends. I tried to also get Cesc but he's too expensive.

I brought in Frank De Boer and Mostovoi to run my midfield and its worked wonders. I plan to go to broke and promotion this year, and then not renew the deals, which go for a year. I also brought in Phillipe Christenval from Marseille and am trying hard to pluck Reto Ziegler from Tottenham and Iain Hume from Tranmere.

That's about it... even if the assistant keeps saying we dont have the depth to suceed, I like the promotion chances of the current squad.

Cool. Kubelskis never did much for me, but I could never get rid of him. Commons scored the occasional goal, but is always involved and is a real creative force. I can't take credit for developing him, he was already a regular when I took over the club a year and a half into my game. We gained promotion, absolutely running away with the Championship, in my first full season, though I acknowledge those whose shoulders I stood on.:)

Bluto, I don't think there's a limit on how far into the future you can play, but I find that the game seems less realistic once all the real-life good players retire and start dying off, and there are more computer-generated players taking active roles. It seems like to avoid the latter the game keeps older players functioning well beyond what they should be able to do -- I just took over Liverpool, and they're full of guys in their mid 30s.

gotcha

and if anyone wants to hassle caiman with me send an email to info@caiman.com or claire@caiman.com. I'm not going to give my order number for obvious reasons, but you can reference the order for Worldwide Soccer Manager 2005 that is going to IL

Claire is the one who has been "helping" me. And by helping I mean changing the ETA of my package.

how many seasons can you do in this game?

As many as you want. Of course, if you go far enough there won't be any real players left.

true, but i'm used to doing like 25 seasons in NCAA College Football games where you don't have any "real" players left after 4 years because they've all graduated.
