I should. I need to make room for some youth guys coming up. Barca doesn't seem to have any great defensive talent coming up. I'm trying to bring in Kompany.

12-0 in a friendly in which the minnows had 0 shots. Good for a workout and morale.
My favorite was when I was trying the game with Arsenal and beat ManU 6-1 in the FA Cup final. Henry had 4 and Pigboy got sent off for 2 yellows for dissent in a minute late in the second half (FM is realistic!) when I was up by 3-4 goals. I hope to see that repeated later this year. :D

I must be really bad at offense! My best ever result with Nottingham Forest (I've yet to play WWSM with a top notch team) was a 5-0 win against Port Vale in the Carling Cup. It was Andy Gray's first match for me, and he scored all four in the first 30 minutes!

Hey, My friendlies are competitive. I set tackling to hard if they haven't scored a goal after 15 minutes.
Poor Segunda Division B sides... :(

Well I've decided to take teh WFM plunge. Actually, I want to write about it and have some other articles submitted on gaming to my web site. I'm adding some new features and sections so gaming seems a natural.
Today I played my last bit of CM 4. The game was a Christmas present 15 months ago. I had played an older version of it until I felt guilty enough to throw it away. This one never had that kind of hold on me, but I did play a pretty decent game this last time. I started with Hull City in the 3rd division and I think, via a tactical bug, won the 3rd division and then the 2nd division in my first two years. In my 3rd year I was mid-table approaching the Holidays and the board were starting to complain, so I resigned rather than let the ingrates take me down.
At that point I couldn't get hired by anyone except Soutport, 23rd in the Conference. I took that job and finished the season with them at 21st, somewhat amazingly given that team's complete lack of resources. A new manager was created to take the job at Man City. I was on the verge of getting sacked with them in January and resigned and went on holiday. With no job prospects coming after lengthy time away, I created a third manager and he took over Aston Villa, which had just finished a season where it was relegated.
With Villa I had a great year, rolling up 111 points in the 1st Division. I was able to trim the wage bill but kept various raiders away from my top players, plus saw the emergence of a pair of promising youth, and signed some solid youngsters from other clubs.
Well upon promotion to the Premiership it appeared nobody was interested in playing for us, and I knew we would need better players to stay up. The wage budget was ridiculously low, and some bugs with arranging friendlies and player fitness in preseason (nobody ever got tired) were detracting from the game, and upon reading this thread I decided it was time to get the new game, which for money reasons I had avoided doing before.
So tell me, what is truly the best way for someone in the DC area to get the game. Do all Game Stops carry these? Should I order it online and if I do, will the bugs be out of the version I get, or will I need the patch?
Help me start the adventure.

Noooooooooooooooooooo!!!!
Don't do it GersMan...
We need you to update our Big 30 game file. If you start down this path, we'll lose you...
BTW how's the latest patch? Is the game more enjoyable now? I'm trying to resist buying it until most of the bugs are ironed out.

Eliminated in first round of CL, a uniquely stupid exit.
Game 1 1-0
Game 2 0-0
Game 3 2-0
Game 4 0-0
Game 5 1-0
Despite having 11 points in 5 games and no goals conceded, I might go out if I lose game 6, which is a home game.
Up 1-0 in minute 70. Concede a goal minute 72. Concede a second goal minute 87. Lose 2-1. Finish 3rd in group on goal differential. Ciao.
Damn, that's so evil I can't even be upset. Stunned, more like.

You can search to see if which Game Stops have it in stock. That's probably the only chain that has it in the USA. I got mine off of Ebay.

That's correct. The only other place that lists it is amazon.com, but it comes up as out of stock. Since you seem to be from the DC area, I think I heard someone say they got it at the Bethesda location. Dont quote me on that though!

CM.
A grimly funny story either way, no? Even more grimly funny in that the goal scorer in minute 87 was none other than horse-faced Ruud, who after being programmed to score in each & every game for Manchester United, was finally sold out of the country ... so that he could haunt me in Champion's League.

Thanks for the info. I have indeed found a copy of the game at a nearby store.
The game requires 128 MB of RAM, but recommends 256. I have 128 - will it work on my computer?
