There are no restrictions on players by nationality at any level of dutch football. That is one of the main attractions of playing them in FM. If you find some cheap e.europe kid with amazing stats you can buy him. When you get higher up and starts sending scouts further, you'll see plenty of amazing young kids from brazil that you can grab without dealing with work permits, registration caps, or matchday limits. I can't stand playing in Spain, Italy or Germany because of those limitations. I generally play in England (work permits are not too horrible) or Holland.

Any suggestions on Dutch clubs outside of the big three with good fan support and decent room for growth?

One of the best parts of playing in the Bundesliga or La Liga is that your B team plays in the lower leagues. I think Portugal is this way as well... what are Portugal's foreigner limits? I assume Brazilians have no problem coming over.

Nah, an old version, CM in fact. I won't be of any use telling you about the new patch.

o ok cause 90000 pounds per week for a young guy like that is pretty unrealistic..so i hope the new patch will make the game more realistic...cause in my fm game kezman was having a decent season and he scored like 20 goals but he wanted like a rasie to 110000 per week

Nope major changes to the finances are on hold until fm06.

Last night I beat Deportivo 6-0 to really solidfy my hold on first place. I am still 9 points up on Madrid, but my goal +/- is about 20 better then theirs. I have 11 games left, so anything can happen, but I think La Liga is mine!!!

Yeah, it is a little off, but that game was also recorded as my best win ever. It doesn't happen every match. When you have Ronaldinho, Deco, Saviola and Rosicky running at the goal you're bound to score some goals. :)

Started a new game with Grays Athletic, in the Conference South.

Won 5, drew 3. lost 0

Scored 18, conceded 1.

4-0
0-0
4-0
6-0
2-0

Also through to the 3rd of the qual. for the FA Cup.

Looking good. ;)

as i may have said before, i'm playing a game (actually only my 2nd ever FM/CM game) with Vitesse. they have a pretty decent fan support and a good sized stadium (maybe capacity 20,000?). you start with financial restrictions on salaries and transfers. but if you do well early on (i managed to finish 5th the first season), things turn around in your finances.

now in my 3rd season, still not too much transfer kitty (1.7 million euros), but as others have stated, it's easy to sign players in Holland. we're almost to the winter break, and we're in 3rd place (with road victory 3-1 over PSV, 2-1 home win over Feyenoord, still to play Ajax away). also into the Cup quarterfinals and the UEFA Cup knockout rounds (having beaten Valencia 1-0 home and away in the InterToto Cup, and Lazio 3-2 away in the group stages).

i took on an AM LC named Marquinho from PSV on loan in my first season. he signed permanently for me at the start of the 3rd season. he's cheap and has been increasingly outstanding (i think average of 8+ over the last 30+ games).

The patch says Football Manager 2005. Is it 100% compatible with Worldwide Soccer Manager? My first game crashed last night...

I don't think it is. The last patch was specific to FM and WSM. There were two different patches.

The patches for WWSM is different from FM (despite just about everything being the same, since the two games have different master CD-ROM IDs.. you can't use one patch on the other game, the WWSM 5.0.3 patch is due out shortly, it's reinstall time I'm afraid.

Nope. Sorry

The J-League couldn't be licensed by SI. I think there are patches that creates one by changing some of the games data.....

To control a national team, I think you click on the national screen (by clickling the little flag and then selecting "take over nation")

To control a league an national team you have get good and hope that the FA will ask you to be the NT coach.

Not sure you can hire staff when as a NT manager.

That's weird. I had both on my PC. I uninstalled FM. For WWSM. And I applied the patch (FM patch to WWSM) and it worked fine. Maybe its the language pack he was using? Because I use English UK in WWSM (my personal protest toward SI)

I've yet to have a problem. I even started a new file.

Well I know what he indicates. But I know what my PC does. I've recently applied the WWSM patch over the FM patch.
