BorrachoNJ, I'll take Marbury's comments stating that while on the Knicks, he's the NBA's best PG, than Kidd saying he wants to go else where.

of course. kidd's smack-talking against a useless organization and he had a right to be pi$$ed...

marbury, on the other hand, is just plain dumb.

Wait - so you'd rather have Marbury than Kidd? BTW, I don't think Kidd ever publicy said he wanted to go elsewhere.

What do I feel? I'd rather not hear him talking about who's the best period. He should have only said that Kobe's a top notch baller, and that's it.

This season could be over. Am certainly rooting for them to make the playoffs. The Cavs have been the only team recently that got the first pick and improved. I see no point in not trying and trying to beat the Hornets for the worst spot. Pointless. You play to win the game. Next year might be our playoff year. The Knicks easily should be at the top of the Atlantic, but too many players got hurt at the same time.

Dark Knight...he may not have said it publically...but he has given "hint" that he wants to leave. Starting with his second year as a Net, there has always been talk about him leaving.

Seriously though, if Isiah is going to have a plan, the next 2 seasons are key. He has two big contracts expiring in '06, Penny and Tim Thomas. He can trade them over the next year, either for good draft picks (not the pittance he got from San Anton) or contracts expiring in '07. He can let them expire, but one thing he must not do is take on any long contracts, either by trade or free agency.

In '07, Houston and Maurice Taylor (and Sweetney, if they choose not to keep him) expire. '07 also happens to be when Carmelo, Lebron and Dwyane are up for free agency, I think.

In any case, I hope he has a good reason for stockpiling those undersized power forwards with oversized contracts.

I agree 100%. The problem during this upcoming offseason is that there won't be a lot of really good free agents. Kwame Brown is one of the few. I think that they are just a SF away from being a really good team. Kurt Thomas, althought not 7 feet tall, he averages a double double every night. Sweetney is constantly improving. JC and Marbury are good in the backcourt. If Ariza can get his shots to drop every once in awhile, then they're in good shape.

Seriously, don't you guys realize that Isiah is working in cohoots with the Pistons organization to destabilize other Eastern Conference franchises? Indiana, Toronto, and now New York, it's all part of the Bad Boy Master Plan.

Speaking of the Pistons, they just failed a couple of tests in a row - at Phoenix and at Seattle.

I wouldn't call it "failing". They're on a long, two-week west coast trip and are running on fatigued legs. Barely lost both games on the road against the best of the west. The Pistons don't need to be "tested", they've already proven they can ace the final exam.

Well, I'm definitely not saying they have to repeat the grade -- let's just say they failed a couple of quizzes in a row, that don't count towards the final grade. Not worth getting too troubled over, but enough to raise some questions about study habits and focus. This year's final exam will probably be harder.

If we're using the "quiz" analogy for the Pistons' regular season games, you might consider this afternoon's game in Sactown the "gimme" that Detroit slept through.

If there was one team against which road-weary Detroit should have broken their two-game slide, it was the Kings.

No Brad Miller.
No Cuttino Mobley.
Chris Webber jerseys going for 50% off at the Team Store.

AND the fact that the Kings just returned from an East Coast road trip in which they lost three in a row, to Charlotte(!) Orlando and Miami. And like the Pistons, only one day of rest. Throw in the fact that Bibby and Peja had rather sub-par games today, and you have a lot of reasons why Detroit SHOULD have won.

Ahhh, but no.

The one thing I think the game proved today was that - contrary to popular opinion, the Kings did not get NOTHING back in the Webber trade. None of the players is of Webber's caliber, but they are each solid team players. And in little ways, all three contributed to help the Kings' win today.

No one is going to mistake the new-look Sacramento Kings for a serious NBA title contender. Heck, it was questionable whether the pre-trade Kings were. But this is a team that is definitely going to make some noise down the stretch, and possibly in the first round (and hopefully the second) of the playoffs.

As they say...Bad Boy 4 Life!

This is the remix!

You know, get paid for the same song, over and over again. ;)

Anyone else think that Wade of the Heat had a great time at Shaq's birthday party? 3 for 15 shooting and turnovers that make the Washington Generals blush...

The Sixers were supposed to run away with the Atlantic after acquiring Webber. Hasn't quite worked out that way.

Sixers lose again, Webber has 8 points on 3-for-12 shooting, Philly fans boo him.

They'd better get on track, or the Celtics will run away with the division. They are playing some quality ball at the moment.

There have been unreasonable expectations placed on Webber since he arrrived at Philly. He isn't the same player he was a few seasons ago. He can't carry himself, let alone a team. You have to remember that he played with a great cast in Sacramento. Bibby is an excellent point guard and Peja is one of the top 2 or 3 shooters in the league. They alone created opportunites and spacing for Webber to do his thing. Right now he is just a mid range jump shooter and has absolutely no post up game.

I've been in Sactown during C-Webb's whole time with the Kings. I've seen how Webber performs when he's moody, when he's really gripping. I know how Webb complained when the Sac media (who treated him with kid gloves) got the least bit critical of him.

As someone who continues to live & die with some of the NY/NJ teams I grew up with, who understands the difference in the mentality of the media and fans, I knew that Webber's grace was not going to last longer than one game in Philly.

To the fans who thought the Kings got chumps in exchange for Webber, I can only say this: SUCKERS!

Give it some time, you'll grow to hate Kenny Thomas and Skinner, Corliss is pretty decent although a limited undersized #4. KT will start bitching about the number of shots he gets here any day now, and Skinner will disappear pretty soon afterwords.

Webber is obviously a nice addition, but I didn't agree with all of the hype the media was giving Philly. C-Webb is older and injury prone. He was a star in Sacramento, and will want to be one in AI Country. Like it was said before, he had an All-Star cast around him. He doesn't have that in Philly.

What's most humorous about this, is that the Knicks, who made the worse trade, has done the best job. They are 5-1 since the trade. Their defense is finally where it should be and Crawford is playing more like a point guard then a shooter. Plus, Houston is the only player out with an injury. Only four games behind Indy, with two games left between the two.

Oh yeah, was Crawford's dunk nice or what?
