C-Webb has not exactly been the same since his injury two seasons ago. He's had various flashes of brilliance, but not really consistency.

Even for a Kings fan, that line by Heinsohn is a keeper. But I think I'll shorten it. Fans here in Sacramento are pretty used to seeing Webber "perma-jog" his way through most of the games this season.
I like the Kings. I like Webber too. However, he does nothing on the block. His jump shot, or should I say set shot from 15-20 ft is money. His passing is still great as well. He is funny to watch though. That knee injury really messed him up. I am still convinced in my mind that if Webber does not go down in the 2003 playoffs, the Kings win it all.

If Webber didnt go down in the playoffs in 2003 they would of got past the Mavs but, not the Spurs.Webber is still a good player I mean hes not a top 5 player anymore but, he can still do alot for the Kings. In other news the Lakers trade Kareem Rush to the Bobcats for 2 Second Round Picks.

Kobe has managed to piss of Karl: http://sportsillustrated.netscape.cnn.com/ns/sports/story.jsp?floc=sp-nba-5-l1&flok=FF-APS-2030&idq=/ff/story/0030%2F20041207%2F2306944328.htm&sc=2030

Is LeBron really going to be a superstar on the level with Jordan and Magic? He kind of looks more like Pippen+ or maybe Barkley+. I have a feeling it's going to be one of those things where later on I'll realize what an idiot I was for thinking this, but I'm just not sold on him yet, despite him making some great plays in the game I watched tonite. He's darn good, but Magical/Jordanesque?

My answer is without a doubt YES!!! The thing you need to remember when trying to evaluate LeBron is that he is only 19. I could tell you about his improved shooting or his high-flying dunks, but the thing that makes me believe he will be in a class with Magic and Jordan is his ability to make everyone around him so much better. On paper, Cleveland is not that great of a team, but when you put LeBron with them, they are a solid playoff team. I honestly think in the next 2-4 years, the Cavs will be in the finals and maybe winning titles. I think LeBron is that good. Kobe wishes he could do the things Lebron does to make his TEAM better. LeBron really buys into the team philosophy that is so important to winning.

Lebron is a good player yes but, one season dosent make you a superstar you have to win titles and be a great player over a 7-10 years to say you are better than Magic or Jordan.Kobe right now is probably the only player right now that is close because he has been scoring winning titles for 5-6 years.Lebron looks so great because of the team hes on.

I will give you the fact that LeBron needs to prove what he is doing over the years, but to say what he is doing is because of his team is a joke. He is on the Cavaliers. They stunk until he got there. If anyone has been the beneficiary of being on a good team, you need not look further than your boy Kobe. While he is a great player, he would not have any title if Shaq was not on his team.

That's a good pickup for the Bobs. He was getting no PT behind Kobe but he can fill the bucket while still keeping their salaries down.

Okafor has been looking great for the Bobs also. I'm looking forward to watching his career progress but we'll have to hope his back remains strong.

Great for me! I wouldn't mind Karl signing with my Spurs for the second half of the season.

It's great to see Kobe piss off the only guy who stuck up for him during the past year.

LeBron is 19. What he is doing is fricking unbelievable for that age. Michael Jordan didn't even enter the pros until he was 21 (after his junior year). I was one of LeBron's biggest doubters when he was a senior in high school, thinking he was overhyped. I thought Carmelo would be better and LeBron merely an average pro. He has proven me wrong. Of course, he has a ways to go to equal Darko. :)

There was rumor about New Jersey Nets point guard Jason Kidd to the Timberwolves in a complicated deal for Latrell Sprewell, Sam Cassell and Michael Olowokandi. I was thinking if this trade DOES happen(with J.Kidd 100% healthy I hope). It would be good for T.Wolves to go after Karl Malone as well. (Karl Malone will go to Championship Contender Team...)

The Line-Up would be very exciting IMO.

C: Eddie Griffin
PF: Karl Malone
SF: KG
SG: Wally
PG: J.Kidd

99% will not happen though..but can't I dream?? :D

That's nice, but who is the lucky winner of the Michale Olowokwandi jackpot?

I don't know, as much as I don't like Kobe, Karl is a whiny bitch and he goes out of his way to take offense at every possible slight.

And so says Ric Bucher: http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/columns/story?columnist=bucher_ric&id=1942450&CMP=OTC-DT9705204233

Even a gimpy Jason Kidd is still better than most point guards (see last year's playoffs). Jason Kidd has asked to be traded, but hasn't demanded it yet. Yes, it's a subtle distinction. Anyway, the rumors are him to the Mavs, Timberwolves and maybe the Nuggets.

Is the Nets curse back? Ron Mercer has surgery. Zoran Planinic breaks his hand.

I like Don Nelson, but I still can't get over that Jason Kidd trade. It seems ridiculous that they would trade to get him back -- do they still have Sean Bradley?

I didnt mean that the team makes him one of the best i meant that any good player could score 25 on that team.He should get 25 points on that team. Lebron is a good player right now but, he isnt Magic or Jordan. Magic was a star on arguably one of the best teams in the history of the NBA the Showtime Lakers. He didnt score 25 a game but, he also didnt need to. He did average over 11 assists a game for his career. And had 3 MVP awards. And won 6 NBA titles. He was also one of the 50 best NBA players. He was the best in probably the best time for Basketball the 80's. He averaged over 12.5 assists 3 years of the Career. He had over 10,000 assists. He played in over 185 playoff games. He led the league in steals for 2 years.Thats a great career.

Well if Shaq didnt have Kobe then he wouldnt of won any titles. If Jordan didnt have Pippen he would of not won 6 titles. W/O the great team that Magic had he wouldnt have won 6 titles. Every player needs another player to be that 2nd player.

You're right. But LeBron has led him team to the 2nd best record in the East (granted, it's a weak conference) at 19. Kobe has continued to alienate teammates to the point that it will be hard to get a 2nd star to play with him. Look at his comments during this recent situation with Karl Malone. He repeatedly referred to the team as being "his." It's being reported that most of his teammates want out, because they can't deal with him. It's also reported that it was Kobe who led the way for the Lakers trading Kareem Rush for nothing.

Are you kidding me? Tracy McGrady hit 10 points in like 30 seconds and won the game for the Rockets over the Spurs. Wild finish.

Meanwhile Seattle beat the Mavs. I still refuse to believe.

Edit: he hit 13 points in 35 seconds. Amazing.

But the point I was making in my original comment was that LeBron does not have this at all. You said LeBron was the beneficiary of a good team. Explain that? He has Drew Gooden, Ira Newble, Zydrunas Illgauskas, and Jeff McInnis starting with him. That is not what you call a great team by any stretch of the means.
