Rangers News:
Martin Rowlands is out after leaving the match last Saturday with a foot injury. As of yesterday, they were still awaiting the results of a scan, but the team says he won't be risked tonight regardless of the outcome.
Tony Thorpe is available, after returning to the bench last weekend. His entry into the starting lineup alongside Furlong could see Gallen returned to central midfield with Bircham, leaving Cook and either McLeod or Branco wide on the other side. Jamie Cureton is "unlikely to be risked" and may return on Saturday.
The backline of Rose/Simek/Santos/Bignot will likely again be deployed in front of Chris Day.
The match is all ticket, so sales are now suspended.
The Opponent:
With Millwall having a bit of a European adventure this season, they're a couple of games played behind the rest of the pack, so their position in the table is probably a bit misleading.
Millwall captain Kevin Muscat faces a late fitness test after missing last Saturday's game with an ankle injury. Striker Neil Harris is out after picking up an injury in that game.
Their last six (most recent first):
A Stoke L, 0-1
H Liverpool L, 0-3 (Carling Cup)
H Cardiff D, 2-2
H Gillingham W, 2-1
A Sunderland L, 0-1
H Forest W, 1-0
The Series:
Rangers trail this one -- 18-15-29. The London rivals have not met since QPR wins in the 94/95 FA Cup and 93/94 League Cup. Their last season together in the League was 89/90, with Rangers earning a win at Millwall and a draw at home. The teams first met in the 1899/1900 season, in February 1900, a 2-0 FA Cup victory for Millwall.
The Referee:
Phil Prosser works the match. This is Prosser's first game as high as the Championship this season, with 10 games (20 yellows, 2 reds) coming in League One (4), League Two (4), the League Cup (1), and the LDV Trophy (1). He worked our 1-1 home game with Bristol City last year in which 5 yellows and 1 red (for Bristol City) were issued. He didn't work any QPR matches in 02/03. In 01/02, he worked the 4-3 home win over Wycombe (Wycombe had two men sent off in the 45th minute). Those are his only two career QPR matches working the middle.
