Venue: The Home of Football in North London.
What's at stake? Our honor and reputation not only in England, but across Europe. Wenger needs to do some Zen Buddism or something with the lads to reinspire them or tap into their hunger to win.
My gut instinct says we CRUSH the Greek side....3-0.
Reyes, Edu, and Henry all score.
COME ON ARSENAL, COME ON!!!! Up the Gunners!

Should be a victory for us. Don't see too many goals though. I just hope we don't get anyone injured.
I'm thinking Wenger will stay with Vieira and Edu, and Cesc will see some playing time.

Neo, can you get ESPN Deportes? I think they're showing the Arse match. In San Diego, it's available on Cox Cable for $3 per month (as part of the "Latino Package").
As for the game, will the real Gunners please stand up, please stand up?
We need to REALLY show up and put all the ManUtd B.S. behind us. 2-0.

Everytime I predict a win, we suck  So I'm predicting our poor run of form will continue, and the Greeks will hold us to a boring 0-0

We're not playing particularly well at the moment. Normally I would welcome a CL game at home when DB can play, but I'm not really impressed with our forward rotation. I don't like Reyes as a replacement for Pires. I don't like him as a winger. I don't like him taking Pires off the pitch. Yes, Reyes is faster than Bobby, but Pires turns so quickly on the ball that he is much better at getting the ball in front of Henry at pace that we've lost some of our speed and our counter-attacking style. And Wenger's got to light a fire under Vieira's butt. I posted this elsewhere, but I think Vieira is our key player and we will only go as far as he's able to bring us. Given that Gilberto's still out and Edu is not playing up to par thus far, benching Paddy may not be an option, but maybe someone else should get the captaincy, serve as a wakeup call that Vieira may not be pencilled into every starting lineup if he does start playing better.
Fortunately for me, I have appointments all day and will not be able to follow gamecast or internet radio because this would be frustrating. Sol's out, the defense is less than the sum of our parts and this is a very losable game. I think we'll be lucky to win and I'll be very satisfied to escape with a draw.

I see bad things. I see football players in red tops pleading with refs to give them a break. I see wenger's head buried on top of his ever moving legs wanting the agony to be over with. I am also seeing my screen melting but that's another story all together. It has been a long halloween wknd for me and this bad boy is going to bed.
Arsenal 1 Pana.-2
Henry 2 pen chances 1 missed
and we haven't had an own goal in a while, i think le french donkey cygan should be good for one to give us all a larf.

Arsenal needs to win this one. Not only to put the team on the right track from the CL but to raise spirits. Arsenal can win this game too, it will just take some drive to do it. Assuming the team plays solid, no stupid mistakes, all should go well.
I'm gonna go out and say 2-0. :)

Why has no one posted a projected lineup, will Sol be playing? Any news on his contract status? We really need him, Badly.

My lineup:
Lehman
Lauren Toure Campbell Cole
Ljungberg Viera Cesc (will be Edu though) Van Persie
Reyes Henry
Subs: Alumina, Senderos, Pires, Bergkamp, Pennant, Cygan, Hoyte
Substitutions: Pires on for Ljungberg on the 65th minute.
Bergkamp on for Van Persie on the 80th minute.
Edu on for Cesc on the 80th minute.
I'd much rather have Pires come on off the bench. Why may you ask? Well, Wenger is as stubborn as hell to substitute anyone in CL matches. If he his senior players to make early substitutions, then theres no doubt he'd make them. If he has Van Persie and Cesc on the bench, he'll leave it to the 85th minute to make a substition. Most likely, he'll only make one.

I'd like to see Pires start this one. Reyes hasn't been effective in recent games, I don't know why, but Pires has plenty of experience and can be a bit more creative from the left wing. I hope Campbell is ready, but one of my mates reckons he's out for a couple of weeks. If not I suppose we'll have to put up with Cygan again. I was hoping that Edu would be back up to speed after a couple of games, but after his performance on Saturday I'd start Fabregas.
Lineup:
Lehmann
Lauren-Toure-Campbell(Cygan)-Cole
Ljungberg-Vieira-Fabregas-Pires
Henry-Bergkamp
Bench: Almunia, Senderos, Edu, Van Persie, Reyes, Flamini, Pennant

IMHO it's critical that Arsenal score first, and score early. I do agree that Pires should start, let JAR come off the bench.
I just pray that the marking on set pieces improves from the last meeting :(

Pires hasn't done much aswell the last few games. It's insane for some of you lot to think Reyes hasn't done much. He's been our only constant threat. You saw him against ManU...he's very dangerous and the only way to truly stop him is to injure him.
I'd stick with Reyes. It's Pires that needs to find his form. He's dribbling hasn't been of Pires of late, and thats why Wenger doesn't start him. Also, Bergkamp will be totally useless in tomorrow as he sucks when he has to play 2 games within a week. He's been in crappy form this past 5 or 6 games, as his passing consistentcy has really deserted him. Sure he made that great pass to Henry for that goal against Southampton, but other than that...he's been totally inefective.
