Yeah, I agree that the Sounders should be in MLS. Those colors are nice too :D

Well, the light (sky?) blue and green look too awkwardly 70s and it's not a good combination color-theory-wise...
You guys could, however, try an update with aqua green or teal green and cobalt or navy blue for accents.

The colors have always gone well together, and I would LOVE to see them stay with a new MLS club, whatever the name.

I understand, sounderfan.
But look at that checkered flag above. That is a light aqua or teal (or is the camera trippin'?) , not the usual columbia or sky blue. That color on the flag with blue would look killer.
SEATTLE SOUNDERS
or
PUGET SOUND SC

So, it's the GREEN that you don't like, eh?
Well, I could let go of that. It's the "Sounder Blue" (Yes, that is the official name of the color given by the club) that needs to stay!

The teal on the checkered flag dates from when the A-League Sounders had a purple/teal color scheme -- it got changed back to the NASL colors a couple years ago with the move into Qwest Field.

I think it will be hard for the Sounders to move up to the ranks of MLS due to the fact that they're one of, if not the most well known A-League team of all. The A-League losing the Sounders is like MLS losing DC United. Unless there's a way to bring Seattle to MLS under a new name while keeping the same players and create a new Sounders team for the A-League then I think it could work. Like create the Sounders Juniors for A-League or Sounders Majors for MLS.
..just my 2 cents..
Gee, I don't know. I think we need one more team with red and black...maybe red and blue...

Im all for green, but those colors as is look pretty ummm...how should I say it... GEY?
Sorry but they look a bit prissy. Maybe if you guys adopted a better green like a Mariner or Sonics green, it will be much better.

Not to sound too sarcastic (for a change), but I think the Sounders would do themselves alot of good by actually establishing what their colors actually are, and stick to them.
Last year their green was exactly the same as the Timbers, and their blue was exactly the same as the Whitecaps (as were their kits). That doesn't go along way to building team identity.
A few years ago, of course their primary colors were red and black (at least in their kits).
I think the team needs to pick a combination of color shades that has history behind it (or establish a new standard if you have to), is identifiable with the team, lock into it, and don't just look for the cheapest kits they can find in the color of the day.
I also think the Timbers should add yellow back into their color scheme, but that's another subject.

Those awful red/black kits were the "Car Toys" sponsored ones.
I have no idea why Adrian Hanauer doesn't take the "club colors" thing more seriously. Certainly the fans have talked with him about it on many occasions. Still, the Sounders kits are usually worked out in the off-season with whomever will give the club the best deal (lately NIKE, ugh) and while the club says it's "official colors" are green and "sounder blue" you'd never know it by looking at the kits.
The club site has the logo and 'sounder blue accents. So I KNOW they know what they SHOULD be using!

2004...Whitecaps blue. Green, well, that was a SOUNDERS color a year before the Timbers were even born. It was a traditional road kit color dating back to 1974.
