Just to give a plug, John Persing is a good guy who lives in Colorado now, but stood in Section 134 for every game back in the glory days. His webpage might be the most extensive unofficial United resource available on the web, because he has been operating it continuously since...well, basically since the team started. Every now and then on the old SE mailing list, people would suggest new additions to his often hilarious MLS lookalikes page.
