I agree. It's over for the streak, but the season is far from over and we'll see who's on top in the end.

Thanks for starting this thread, Naggi. Let's keep our eyes on the prize. It's all about who rises to the top come May, and the unbeaten record was just a HUGE layer of frosting on the cake.

Yes - this was the day that the new standard of 49 unbeaten was finally set - it has been many months in the making :).

Kudos all round to Arsenal for the record - aint going to be beaten in a long time.....

121 points out of a possible 147 during the run. To do that whilst playing with flair speaks volumes

And yet spurs still hold the record for most consecutive wins, and i think also the most wins over a "season and a bit" in spite of out 49 game haul. Scary.

Luckily half of them dont know it else id be getting it in the ear all day long :)

Prawn - "Please Old chap, I'd rather you didn't cause any grief, we're having a nice old chat here"

Tesos - "No problem dear boy, completly understand"

True, and I apologise as I have just realised that this thread was in no way attacking anyone and so have decided to see sense and agree that the run was fantastic and well done.

The streak is over. It's time to focus on our defence of the championship. The streak is dead, long live the streak! Onward and upward!

I say we keep the streak going unofficially until we are beaten legitamately.

It was fantastic while it went on. It's still a fantastic achivement and there's every reason to be proud of it and the team.

Sadly it means we can no longer sing the unbeatables chant, now we have to settle for the Champions chant. I guess it'll do.

I also think Arsenal did a marvelous job and helped show Europe how strong the Premiership is. We won today, but Arsenals record will be remembered forever.
