dont be too confident marseille is still a very tough team to beat, theyve just gotten of to a poor start and if taiwo gets on form watch out, however lyon should still be able to beat marseille just as long as they dont overlook them

no doubt it will be a good match, I would put marseille far above the 2 teams they have played so far. no disrespect to marseille...well maybe a little.

lol hey man what can i say
l'om will be pushing hard in this one, if essien sits out, which he inevitably will, then they might have a chance to pull a point or maybe three.
If lyon scores the goals will be from counters rather than build up plays. Oh, and of course, the scorer would be Carew

Lyon had the run of play for the majority of the match. the first 15, 20 minutes were shaky, but they took control after that and it was OM who was doing most of the counters.
I thought Marseille would play better, but hey I got the scorer right! (and it was on a counter!)
but how did that referee miss that penalty?

Aulas kinda confirmed Essien was sold in a interview
with Canal+, today ( they were talking about it on
RMC). Price isn't confirmed though, but it would
be around €40 million.
It'd be nice to put this whole story behind and move
on/ get a new player in.

Foot - Transferts : Lyon laisse partir Essien

Where the heck did Olweb's forums go??
The link was http://olweb.fr/forum & it's
nowhere to be found at the moment.
Going to the main site, http://olweb.fr/fr/index.html ,
the link to the forum was at "supporters"--->"forums"
and it isn't there today...
Anyone with a straight link?
What's up with this?

there earlier today.
Oh well, never mind then.

marseille did play well. neither team really had control of the match and the score reflects what happened on the pitch. You could tell that OM was alot more motivated though.

marseille had their chances, but the reason why I am critical of their performance is because they lacked strength in midfield to maintain good possession and take control of the game. It was instead lyon who controlled the game, and they were unlucky several times with crappy shooting. To me, being put in a position where one is at another's mercy is not playing well.
Now its not like I don't understand the benefits of playing for a draw. However, even if sitting back was Fernandez's tactic, the players did not execute it well at all. They commited a lot of sloppy fouls, and had the ref not been so lenient, i'm pretty sure marseille would've seen red at least once.

Juninho will stay. He must stay. This is off topic but I saw John Dahl Tomasson playing for Stuttgart last week and I couldnt believe this guy would rather play for Stuttgart. He turned down Lyon if you remember...
Ok Baros is officially an idiot. Lyon have apparently made the highest bid of any club for him(11 million Euros) but it says he'd rather stay in England and play for Everton or Aston Villa. I dont get this guy at all :-(.[/
which is perhaps a reason aulas wanted to make a big a fuss about the essien affair. to most people OL isn't even a big fish in a little pond; they're a little fish in a teenyweeny puddle. they need to get some image. OL has everything it takes to make ANY player happy, if only they know it.
btw, it's official, juni has re-upped for three more years. and to add to previous subject, at least in brasil OL is recognized as a good club to sign with.

I'm quite pissed as I thought I was gonna be able to catch the repeat of this match after work...I guess not.and i missed it. on the TGV back from disneyland i tried to follow on a transistor radio, but reception is impossible on the train. you have to shuffle from station to station constantly, just to get 15 seconds broadcast every 5 minutes. and mostly from RMC at that... grrrrr...
