Thanks, Gutbomb. You made your point. Is it true that Fox Sports World Canada gets two MLS games a week whereas Fox Sports World US (where the league is located) only has one MLS game a week? Odd.

ESPN2 games are usually shown on Fox Sports World Canada since they don't get ESPN2 up there.

Maybe there is much soccer on Tv, but here in Canada Rogers Sportsnet are abysmal as they insert so many full-screen commercials during the match, ALL their televised EPL matches.

The majority of the people who say "there is no soccer on TV" most likley don't even get those channels, let alone know about them. It's good that you brought them up to speed! :D

RAI International (Channel 600 on EchoStar, 119 orbital slot)
Serie A - 2 games per week
Also Coppa Italia, all Italy home games (and some away), and some Serie B games.

i hate to say it, but i'd rather have soccer with commercials than no soccer at all.

i get rogers sportsnet here and while the commercials are troublesome, they are only usually 1 or 2 short 30 second commercials every 20 minutes or so. and while they do interrupt the game, you don't miss any action. they pause the live feed and resume it after the commercial. also they don't do it at random, they do it at stoppages like throw-ins, free kicks and corner kicks. On the plus side, Rogers Sportsnet has excellent game coverage with halftime shows and their own analysts in between games. It all seems more 'legit' than the way Fox Sports World covers EPL by basically talking over the english analysts until kickoff, and cutting them off as soon as play stops.

Well I find it totally unacceptable, I hate those bastards at Rogers Sportsnet, always have resented Rogers for their damn monopoly here. We get 8 commercials per match, that's dividing the game into 10 segments. Because of these damn commercials, I find I only usually watch one match at the weekend now. I have written a personal letter to Sepp Blatter, probably a complete and utter waste of time, but what harm can it do. I wrote to so many newspapers worldwide, Football Associations etc, etc telling them that Canada Sucks at playing, promoting and presenting the World's No. sport. Canada--"The World's Soccer Wasteland". I realise I'm being so negative, but I am irate about this, I used to scream at the TV, when TSN used the reduced sreen technique, having a small ad and muting the match broadcast. Soccer is shown properly around the world, why does Canada have to screw it up?

Well, let me suggest. Come to the U.S., where the 07:00 a.m. PT game on SportsNet costs $19.99 on PPV in our country.

By paying $19.99 per game, you don't have commercial stoppages. Deal?

Or you can choose to live in England, where you don't even see the game.

You need to get a PVR. Hit the 30sec skip button immediately and you are back to the game where you left it

While I agree it is a pain at least they do it during a stoppage in play. I remember the 1990 World Cup when ESPN/ABC went too a 2 minute comercial several times during the game. We missed so many goal that year

My memory is poor but for some reason I remember games being on a station other than ESPN/ABC. For some reason I keep thinking TNT but I am not even sure they were around in 1990.

Does anyone remember if there were games played on stations other than ESPN/ABC for the 1990 WC?

It was on TNT. That was the dark era that live actions were interrupted by commercials.

With Direct TV, we have an option to get International channels in Spanish. Do you happen to know if TVE International from Spain, TV Chile, or Ecuavisa Ecuador have access to play European Soccer games?
