Haven't heard the name of Stefan Petterson but what a player he was...scored some memorable goals at De Meer. Surprised you don't include Zlatan Ibrahimovic on that list (was it because he came through the academy?).

On the playing side, he led us to our first championship & FA Cup double under Wenger, scoring a goal in the final itself as well as being top-goalscorer that season. For the 3 years he spent at Arsenal he was excellent. In terms of talent he was one of the best young players to have ever played in the red & white, no question - with greater progression & a more professional attitude he could have been the best striker in the World today.

His sale helped us to fund the construction of our training ground at London Colney and more pertinently the signing of Thierry Henry. There is no way he can be left out of this list.

Despite his recent troubles (re-signing him being very unsuccessful) he pretty much made us a Division One mid-table team on his own at the arse end of the nineties

Signed on a free, sold for £4.3m to Juve allowing us to invest in the players which kickstarted our rise to the Prem.

Super Bobby Taylor
There's better players we've signed, but when the legend re-signed the 'feel good factor' alone (along with a few goals) kept us out of Division 2 in 2000. Two years later and fate hands him the goal to seal promotion after 16 years out.

Russel Hoult
For being one of our best keepers of all time. Shame his recent form has killed off all hope of him getting the England call he deserved two years ago

Top 5

1. Alessandro Nesta - Since Nesta was signed Milan have won basically everything. The best defender in the world will win many more things to come.

2. Andriy Shevchenko - Two-time Serie A top scorer was a bargain at only $15M.

3. George Weah - Arrived in 1995 from PSG and won the World Player of the Year award the following year. Won two Scudetti in his 5 years at the club.

4. Kaka - He could move up this list as the years move on. At only $9M he is one of the biggest bargains of all-time for any club.

5. Andrea Pirlo - Still young, he could turn out to be Milan's new Rivera. Wasn't cheap however.

Bottom 5

1. Pablo Garcia - Crap player, the less said about his Milan experience the better.

2. Drazen Brncic - See above

3. Rivaldo - He did contribute to Milan's CL season of 2002/03. But for the most part he was invisible in every match he played for Milan. Which is not good considering how much money he was making.

4. Patrick Kluivert - A complete flop in Serie A after Milan bought him from Ajax.

5. Jens Lehmann - His Milan stay makes Taibi's look good.

Only 5 players can make the list. Javi Moreno wasn't exactly bad for Milan. He only played one season and scored 10 goals for Milan. But he could never crack the starting eleven. Jose Mari also had good moments at Milan. But like Moreno he could never get guranteed first team chances. De Ascentis was not a good player. But Pablo Garcia and Drazen Brncic were worse.
