Boots don't work that way, mate.
No one boot is perfectly suited to a "certain type of player". If you move to a Nike or Puma and it doesn't fit your foot as well as the Predators you've been wearing then how is wearing an uncomfortable boot going to make you play well?
Buy a boot that fits your foot well, and work hard on your game. A new boot isn't going to make you a better player!
Well if you are a striker needing to use pace and speed your not going to get a big fat beefy pair of boots! Most strikers like Henry, Drogba, V.nistelrooy, Saha and Ronaldo use vapors because there light and therefore easier to run in.

No they don't. They use vapors because they are contracted to nike. As a matter of fact RVN was back to the tiempo premier before his leg injury and even his vapors had the 6 stud tiempo bottom. Saha is going to wear the legends when he gets back anlong with Rudd.
You trust what nike tells you way too much. Eric Cantona seemed to do fine in bulky Teimpo Permiers and so did Henry and Ronaldo before they made the Mercurial line, as a matter of fact Ronaldo played his best football ever in the Permiers.
If nike told people that thay created a special type of dog crap and it would make you faster if you put it on your boots half of you dips that post here would go buy it.
The 1 to 3 ounce difference between Vapors and most other boots is not enough to make any type of impact on your pace. If your fast your fast if your slow your slow bottom line. Pele and Maradona looked pretty pacy in old school Pumas.
Just because Nike has the money to recruit players in to their stable and splatter ads everywhere people like you will continue to buy in to their hype.

Who makes "big fat beefy" boots these days?
The weight and mass differences of any boot that you would buy today is not significant enough where there would be a measurable difference in your speed. You want to be faster? Work on your first step quickness or running technique. Do sprinting drills. You want to shoot better? Practice your accuracy and foot position/technique and ball striking. You want to be better with a ball at your feet? Work on your first touch and your turns. Boots are not going to improve these things. Hard work in training is the only thing that will do that.
I'm telling you that you are making a HUGE mistake if you don't buy boots that fit you properly and are comfortable. Serious players (at any level) do not buy boots on marketing. They buy the ones that fit their feet the best and are comfortable. None of those players you mention would wear those boots if they were not comfortable, not matter how much Nike paid them. They would never compromise their game that way. Neither should you.
Shoe companies sign these players so that you will choose their shoes thinking they are the best. It's hogwash. Don't be a Nike sheep. Baa.

They are UK sizes. I just got my indigo/silver ones through from there. You will need to select half a size smaller I think (so you'd want a 9.5).
I thought a 10 in us is a 9.5 in uk? wouldnt i need to get a 10.5?

So are these boots actually going to be released? They look very good. But you think people would've talked about them before and no one else has mentioned them before. Kinda odd i think.

HAHAHA LMAO. Well said! It still amazes me how many people buy boots just on who nike has as they're runway models, and then they actually convince people that Vapors will make you run faster, and shoot more accurately. :D Every time i'm in my local soccer store, it amazes me that kids wont even try on diadoras or pumas because they dont have Backhams fingerprint! Truly amazing!

When did i say i'm definetly getting nike boots I said either vapors, pulses or AZT 90 III's. For a start pulses are big and beefy compared to vapors but vapors don't give much protection. I have tried all these boots on before and played in pulses and they all felt comfortable. And i don't just get a pair of boots because certain players wear them i get them if i like them. I am already fast enough and have a good and powerful shot and good enough skills for a 14 year old. And just because I am 14 don't mean I am gettin these boots because their fancy. I have loads of mates who have played in all these boots before and they said they are good. I am not saying boots make you play better I am saying I want the boots best suited to me!

Predator Pulse: 10.6 ounces (FG version)
Predator Pulse 2: 10 ounces (FG Beckham version)
AZT Total 90 III: 10.4 ounces (FG version)
Mercurial Vapor K: 7.6 ounces
Mecurial Vapor: 7.1 ounces
The Pulse, Pulse 2, and Total 90 are all basically the same weight. The Vapor is lighter but 7 ounces of difference is not going to make a player faster.
So you have to decide. Are you going to be a player that buys the boots that fit your foot shape the best and are the most comortable? Or are you going to be the type of player that believes marketing should be the priority over performance? If you are a serious soccer player that wants to play your best, then you buy the boots that allow you to do that. If you are interested in a fashion statement, looking cool to your friends, and thinking that what fits Ruud van Nistelrooy's foot is what should fit your foot, then buy the boot on looks and paid endorsements.
It's your choice.

You sad act getting all the boot weights. And how many times am I going to tell you I am not getting some boots just because a certain player wears it. I just want to know the recamended boots. I never said they make you run faster a boot might be easier to run in but it won't make you faster. I don't get the same boots as players or everyone else i like to have different boots i get the best 1's for me and get them in a different colour.I am anything but a sheep I always get different boots to everyone else so you are the only one with them. If i am anything I am da sheperd!

Ok lets settle this.
Some boots will suit some players in a little way. For example a big burly centre back who goes in for hard tackles may not want to wear something light like Vapours because getting kicked in those really hurts. They'll want something with more protection that will suit their game more. Much like a player like me (a central midfielder who feels the best part of my game is my passing) will want a boot with a good feel for the ball that compliments my kicking technique although this tends to border more on personal preference.
Then there's the actual fit of the boot. I can't wear Vapours because my feet are wider, while people with narrow feet may not find the AZT3 comfortable because they are wide (I have seen cases of both of these on this forum).
And finally weight. On the face of it a 3 ounce difference between say an Adidas Pulse and an Adidas F50 (I'm using those two as examples because I own both) doesn't seem like much if you hold 3 ounces in your hand. In fact, it's bugger all. Surely that can't affect your playing? Well I noticed a difference. I felt quicker in the F50s but I'm willing to bet if I ran in both and compared my speeds/times there will be no difference. I think it's all in the mind. With lighter shoes you feel like there's nothing holding you back but as I said before, 3 ounces is bugger all and an extra 3 ounces on your feet will barely affect the muscles in your legs which make you run.
Sorry if that was long but I don't think the two sides will ever agree but I think there is some truth in both of their opinions.
And as a final point - getting the boot weights doesn't make him a sad act! It's really easy to find and is simply using evidence to back up his point which is a damn good idea.

SETTLED. But there was no need gettin weights of boots.
The weights came from the latest Eurosport catalogue. It was no problem and only took about two and a half minutes.
I wish you'd be more consistent with what you are looking for. Your post (which started this whole discusion) was this:
Which are the best boots for players which are fast strong and use quite a bit of skill. Because I'm gettong a pair of boots of pro direct soccer i am deciding between Mercurial vapor's SG or Predator pulses Sg maybe Total 90 III's. I have only ever played in the predator pulses which i played well in but i am still not sure.
Ciaran
Is that not for someone to recommend boots for you which would be the best for a player who is fast and strong and uses quite a bit of skill because you are getting a pair of boots from Pro Direct Soccer and was deciding between Mercurial Vapors, Pred Pulses, or AZT 90 III's?
The when I gave you the best advice possible (go for comfort and fit), and you replied with these two posts:
No i want the boot that is best for a certain type of player and all the boots i am talking about are under £70
Well if you are a striker needing to use pace and speed your not going to get a big fat beefy pair of boots! Most strikers like Henry, Drogba, V.nistelrooy, Saha and Ronaldo use vapors because there light and therefore easier to run in.
You said the you'd only ever played in the Pulses. But that's not exactly true is it? A quick check in the "Astro Turf Shoes Thread" reveals this post:
First i got the silver vapors in astro's late last year which lasted very long. Then i bought the blue vapors in trainers in Feb then the siver/Mahogany total 90 III's that wern't as good as the vapors because the stuff around the heel started peeling off so did the total 90 logo. The next i will get is either the F30+ or the henry navy vapors on tuesday.
nike pace vapor navy (shown in studs but I'm getting them in astro's)
http://sport.kelkoo.co.uk/shopbot/imagePopup.jsp?index=0&nameField=manufacturer&catId=114401 (http://)
Adidas F30+
http://www.prodirectsoccer.com/cgi-bin/pds.pl?usr=7501343&page=pidsearch&pid=PDS-002-001-444 (http://)
So it seems you have some familiarity with Vapors and AZT 90 III's. Even though these are TF's you are certainly aware of how they fit, and how they perform. You knew how light they were (TF's are about the same as the FG's), you knew how protective they were, you knew how quick they made you, and you knew how they fit you. So why did you bother asking the question in this thread? Especially since you didn't want to hear the logical answers.
Look: It's your money, it's your feet, it's your game. If you want to play in the same boots that Ruud van Nistelrooy wears, then go buy them. You don't need anyone on BigSoccer to tell you that.
