This one is different than, say, the Southern Baptist Convention, the LDS Church, a particular Imam or Rabbi, or the Anglican Communion because the Vatican itself is recognized as a de facto state internationally. You may not like what it has to say, but the Vatican is a state in the eyes of much of the world.

Wonder how the Holy Father feels about promotion and relegation?

Being that he's a goalie from Poland, I would guess yes. But maybe not for his favorite teams. ;)

The Vatican has no right to comment on anything except the Catholic relegion in my opinion, and even when they do they still cant get it right..........by the way I was raised in catholic schools so no one can tell me what to think about the vatican"(root of all evil)

Um Dude, churches have been talking about non-religous things since the begining of churches. Nothing new there. This just seems like a ploy to get more people to tune into Catholic Broadcasting, kind of like how they offer free coffee and donuts after mass.

eh, why not? actors don't only comment on movies. i say go for it, and i definitely would pay to see Clergy FC play against other religious teams, that would be awesome. Copa Religion, coming your way. for a free ticket to the finals, visit any one of the following churches...

Man....I forgot all about that.....When I was little that was the only part of mass that made we want to go....free doughnuts afterwards. Yo FEELMOREJIVE nice perspective, makes me rethink why I even posted on this thread.

Religion itself, is the root of all evil. The Vatican can comment on whatever it feels fit to. A nice little concept known as freedom of speech entitles them to it (pity these boards aren't the same...). I know that whatever the Vatican or any other religious centre states is bullsh!t, so some more bullsh!t on a different topic doesn't really bother me. If the weak and pitiful people who actually follow/are brainwashed by religion feel the need to complain, then so be it.
