The slippery one is correct. Sky Sports Extra it is.

Okay then, is there anyone out there that thinks we'll see anything other than 2 banks of 5 in front of the keeper??

0-0 or 1-0, perhaps even 0-1.

Wouldn't waste a penny to buy this game, even if i could.

That goes without saying.
However, they're in with a great shout of coming out of the group in a at worst spot of second. They won't be looking for all three from this one and probably fancy their chances as well of winning the group.

Dour, ugly, uninspiring football will be their game plan, stufing the midfield and back line.
Mourinho will no doubt go on about buses being brought and parked in front of the goal instead of focussing on whats glaringly obvious at the moment.
That being, his 'system' is defensively brilliant, but at the cost of fre flowing, goal scoring football.
We won't win the league by letting in the fewest goals this season and i dare say we won't win the European cup by doing it either!

I wouldn't be surprised if we score 3 again. For whatever reason, we actually score in the CL.

Rant mode on:

In some ways I don't think our system has changed that much since last year in one crucial aspect.

In quite a few posts last year I complained that we did not attack directly enough. I am not talking long ball hoof here I am just advocating running at the defence, passing forward not backwards.

This was/is the main difference between Arsenal and us. When one of their strikers receives the ball he is:

a) usually IN the penalty area, and haven forbid, even in the 6 yard box.

b) The penalty area does not contain 11 opposition players.

Now obviously given the above circumstances it is far easier for the striker to convert the chances.

When we attack, there is a fair chance that our strikers are:

a) Out on the wing

b) On the edge of a crowded penalty area with many bodies ready to block the path to goal.

Ok this is happening even more this year but it also had me tearing out my hair on several occasions last season, and I am starting to get a bit thin on top!

Rant over.

Width, we still need to go wide and then either cross or cut-in - when bridge-Robben and Ferriera-Duff can all play we might just have total control of the wide areas and stop trying to thread the ball through a packed middle - oh, it is all so easy aint it?

this game has an 90% chance of being a 0-0, 1-0, 1-1

Chelsea have had more shots than any other Premiership side this season - 124 - yet they have only managed to find the back of the net on eight occasions.

Chelsea whip some horse arse!

http://www.rachelandkevin.com/ireland/images/021_horses.jpg
above: CSKA first team out training.....lol......:D

Expect CSKA to lie down here. Literally, as they will be to scared to move if any of Abramovich's secret agents takes a pot shot from the sniper deck in the shed.

Men to watch:

Wagner Love - ooooohhhhhhhh....baby. Love! Love! Love! So called after a training session romp with a foxy lady - Hence the name "Wagner"......lol. :D - just kidding!

Jiri Jarosik: - holding player in the midfield - will be crucial for CSKA's chances.

Igor Akfinnev - 18! yes 18! year old goalkeeper, the future russian no1.

Ivica Olic - Pace, pace and erm pace. Has bundles of it.

===========================================

CSKA will not win for several reasons......

*Gazeev is a s***t manager. Sorry but he is!

*Sibfnet investors are looking at the team bus very closely.

*Abramovich has a team-sheet of who has to play for the Loshadi, stangely enough its the girls u16 ice hockey team!

*Zenit next - AKA - the title decider on saturday. Like Arsenal v Man U - but 3 games to go before the title and points in it.

=============================================

To summarise - please kick the s***t out of those army bastards! Its easy! We've done it twice!!!

Anybody watching the Real game?

Had to put it on mute after about 10 mins, that Irish clown really gets on my nerves.
(No offense to the Irish as a whole, but if you had to listen to this clown you'ld understand)

Finally, Morientes makes a 79th min appearance, he was thte reason i wanted to watch this game in the first place.
Wouldn't be surprised if we went after him in January.

Good game Nice.
I won't ruin it by saying anything else :)

I have limited ability to do that in my line of work, and I usually waste them on Chelsea games, not on Real Madrid ones. :)

I'm sure that Gazzev will rest some players for the Zenit match on Saturday. In my eyes, they have no chance of winning this match - they should concentrate all their efforts on trying to win the title at this moment in time.

Also Olic is out, he hasn't recovered in time and again won't be risked, because of the big game on Saturday.

This will be the first time, Chelsea will face Russian opposition.

CSKA lineup (IMO):

Akfineev
Semberas--Ignasevitch--A.Berezoutskiy
Rahmic--Jarosik--Aldonin
Gusev--------------------------------------Zhirkov
Love----Kirichenko

Subs:
Semak
Mandrikin (GK)
Ferreyra
Laizans
V. Berezoutskiy
S. Dadu

CSKA have a very young squad - not one player is below the age of 28.
I fancy Valeri Gazzev to just block the midfield with DM's. Usually he will drop one of them for Ferreyra in RPL games, but usually for the CL - he has played a more defensive lineup. Jarosik will operate as Central spine covering back and hopefully going forward to support the front two. The wide men, Gusev and Zhrikov to get forward.

I would expect he was to change it, he would use any of those sub-players.
