Here we go, far too early, premature in fact, the gossip for the Upcoming “transfer window” – still it beats contemplating and rehashing our 1-0 defeat by city, its probably all bs. ..

Yes, Chelsea need some more midfield players . . . Steven Gerrard is on his way out of Liverpool and could even be sold in January, putting Chelsea and Real Madrid on alert according to the Sunday Peeple which relates to the story in the News of the World that Alan Curbishley has insisted he would be happy to re-sign Chelsea misfit Scott Parker. . .should Chelsea need another midfielder, David Beckham has told friends he may be forced to cut short his stay in Spain and return to the Premiership next summer . . . Edu has been offered a £38,000-a-week deal by Barcelona - but looks bound for Manchester United unless Liverpool make their move to replace Gerrard

On to the strikers. . .Available Michael Owen may join Newcastle in the January window should Chelsea not table a bid ….Robbie Keane is on his way to Man city in exchange for Shaun Wright-Philips apparently … leaving the way clear for Anelka to join Chelsea

Mutu back to Parma with Gilardino moving to Chelsea?

Any more glorious rumours out there?

Can Michael Owen even transfer in January again? I thought there was a rule against transferring twice in the same season.

Would we even want him? I wouldn't. I'd much rather go after a Morientes or Saviola from Barca who's on loan to Monaco.

But man do I wish Chelsea got Deco in the summer...God he would look good on this team. I think they need someone along those lines.

Err.....no thanks to Deco. He'd get eaten alive in the Prem, and someone like Savage would insure that after a few dives, he really needed to stay down. He also wouldn't fit into our system that Mourinho is playing.
What is becoming clearer is that we're likely to see a striker come in in January. Ours aren't doing the job. Bye bye Adrian. And Eidur had better start scoring soon, since he is a striker.

Dives or no dives, I cant see how Deco's skill couldnt benefit a side that currently has little, if no, imagination. Whether he would be eaten alive in the EPL is another issue, debatable to be sure, but I'll go out on a limb and argue that he would do just fine. There seems to be a general bias that Iberian players cant adapt to the premiership, which is a bunch of bull.

Hard to argue that you don't need another striker... at least money isnt an issue ;)

Doesn't Deco play centrally? We don't need another Center midfielder and there's no way that Lampard gets beat out so there is no point there.
We need a true right middie and probably another striker to replace Mutu when he goes.

That's not our problem though. We lack finishing, not imagination.

No, I'm referring specifically to Deco. I think someone like Morientes would do well in the EPL. And Carvalho and Ferreira have done well thus far.

Its nice to have resources. :D

"Chelski to sign new Hitman"

Oops, no sorry thats for Mr Abramovich's personal staff......;)

Suprised you don't try an audacious bid for Adriano right now - 100 million euros should cover it.

Money talks...

You could have said the same thing about Michael Owen. All Mourniho has to say is, "I want Steven Gerrard" and he's Chelsea's.

Another season of 30 points away from the title, and I wouldn't be at all surprised to see him alongside Makelele and Lampard in the best 3 man midfield in the world.

Bully for you. Rumors are great!

Yes, along with Zidane and Gallas. When Duff failed to play 3 games he was supposed to be going to Liverpool as well. I won't believe it until it happens.

oh bugger. for the second year in a row our strikers under perform no matter how much dosh we shell out for them.

and indeed, in the season before RA took over it was Zola
who saved us from a mediocre jimmy & eidur.

god, send me dancers...ah...strikers:D

Drogba looks good to me, but neither Kezman or Eidur seem to be the players to have alongsdie him, y'know a player like Mutu may have been the ideal lad to play alongside Drogba, chemistry/balance of the pairing, still Mutu had other ideas about chemistry and the Mutu is moot. . .

there was a Defoe to Chelsea rumour in one of the papers this morning, another hammer, the prospect of Defoe doesn't excite me much to be honest.

Liverpool finishing 30 points behind the title, which Chelsea will not win. I doubt it. I have more change of becoming the next Pope

Like I'll believe it when I see Gerrard put on the blue of Chelsea, keep dreaming

We may not win the title, although we certainly have a better shot at it than Liverpool. Who, if you rememeber, finished 30 points off first place last year.
So it looks like you're going to be the new Pope.

It almost happened last year. Do try to keep up.
At least in the past Liverpool trolls were intelligent.
