What is the benefit of joining the RSL Supporters Club? I was just wondering why I should pony up the $15. Can we have a few more details?

I apologize if this is redundant, I read through the threads and still had questions.

from the website:
As a Loyalist member, you will recieve updates about the team, invitations to special events and discounted season tickets. Currently we are preparing to collect dues, but they are expected to be only around $15. Any questions, please contact us

I'll add that you will also get a Loyalist t-shirt and poster/scarf

Anything I am missing?

Suggestion.... do not offer the standard RSL MLS scarf..... but come up with a Loyalist SLC scarf.....

How much is the season ticket discount?

Dysko and Blittzfan are the presidents and are finalizing all these details with the Front Office, but it appears it will be around $320 (a substantial discount) if you compare it with the stadium ticket prices on the Loyalists website.

I have to imagine that there will be some kind of group rate at a hotel in Denver/San Jose/LA if we can get together enough people for a road trip.

Maybe we could even organize a bus to a Denver away game?

One of the benefits of joining Chivas USA’s supporter’s club is that the supporters themselves get a chance to try out for the team!

Thats a benefit? Sounds like pain. Besides the fact that 99.99% of fans won't make the team anyways. Seems rather silly to have that as a "benefit".

Probably more of a chance to live that fantasy of getting out on the same pitch as the pros for some footy.

I think that's the idea.

That was always the plan...

Can I join the group even if I don't plan on buying season tickets in the supporters section? I couldn't quite convince my wife to sit with the supporters for each game. Combine that with the cheaper ticket prices on the north side and the decision was out of my hands.

Since the Loyalist's section is going to be GA, could a lowly north-ender like myself wander over for games?

That's what I'm anxious to hear. Are the ushers going to be excited about $200 season ticket buyers wandering over to the $400 section?

Instead of scarfs, why not t-shirts? A bunch of folks with the same color shows up a lot better on TV than some random folks with a scarf when it's July.

how bout both? or give new members the option of chosing the scarf or the shirt as part of their package, and then offer both a scarf and shirt to purchase on your webpage, and at your supporters club membership drives thoughout the off-season...

As long as we don't over flow to much, we would be happy to have people come join us from the cheap seats. Before you eliminate our section let us give you ticket discount prices.

As for joining, anyone is welcome reguardless of where they sit or how often they come to games.

As a recently engaged guy myself, I am still trying to work tickets into the new and improved two person budget. But, rest assured I will... I can skip things like food, pick up an extra job or rob a bank. I will be there... with my season tickets.

Just buy them and learn how to apologize... :D

Married 7 years, 3 little ones, it works just fairly well! :o By year 7, a few nights on the couch isn't that bad - you sleep better!

Truer words have never been spoken. It is much easier to explain after the fact than to try and justify. Besides, a few blankets on the couch make it MUCH more comfortable.
