what i didnt like was the fact that our amin players(Alonso,Cisse,Baros,CARA)didnt get much playing time ,except for Baros that played the first mathc.they are players, apart from CARA Whos at a great level, and thats why was recalled even though they have great players in the back(Cambell,Rio,Terry, etc)that are not at there highest level, and is a real blow for there own confidence, and that lack of confidence is showing in the Liverpool results.but hope that all those problems get solved before the fulham game, and come out all guns blazing!

GO REDS!

In the case of Alonso and Cisse, not being a regular player for their national team is not a knock on them. Baraja and Albelda are established older players that have a foothold in the Spain national team. Alonso is younger and less experienced and it will take time for him to replace them. It doesn't mean he isn't good enough, it just takes time. Same could be said for Cisse. Henry, Trejuguet, and even Wiltord are more experienced players that the manager knows he can count on. Cisse has enormous potential and will eventually be a regular in the first team.

Carra is a good player, but will never be a regular starter for England. Just because he isn't as good as Rio, Sol, and Terry doesn't mean that he can't do a job for Liverpool.

Baros had accumulated cards and was suspended for this game.
