I can't see a whole lot of work getting done today. I'm leaving work early around 3:00 to get my stuff and beat traffic down there. See you all at the tailgate.....VAMOS UNITED, ESTA NOCHE TENEMOS QUE GANAR!!

Good luck David Hayes, I hope you play well...sorry we took your buddy Namoff back. Don't call us indian givers...that's just not nice and very un-PC.

What do you mean? The US gave to the Native Americans (i.e. Indians) and then the US took it back. What could be more clear? The US was the "Indian giver."

BTW - the above is completely off topic! Don't let it happen again!

As for Thursday! BRING IT!

All this time I thought it was the phrase meant that the Indians were the givers and takers. Oops. That makes way more sense.

I will never be off topic again. I promise!

DCU in da house!!!

For those that know me...and for those that want to..I travel six hours round trip for almost every single DCU game...Most of the time, after the game, I drive right back down to be at work at 5 a.m. and go into work with about an hour sleep...My friends all ask the same question...WHY? And I tell them "You don't understand, it's a feeling that you can't describe"

Hell yes, I will be there tonight for the biggest DCU game in three years (Remember Columbus, Game Three, 1999 Eastern Conference Finals!!!)

I bleed Red and Black!!!

I'll be bringing a newbie, plus another occasional attender. Has anyone heard any estimated attendance numbers?

I can't make it down for this game, although I did look into last minute flights.
But I'll be screaming with the tube and if DC makes the playoffs I'll be down for a game, bringing 2 newbies with me from the area!
As my 4 year old daughter and I chant during each game.
DC UNITED!!!!!!! Boom, Boom, Boom!

As someone who has done this in the past, MORE POWER TO YOU!!!!

With this dedication, how can our team not "feel the love!" Now all that has to happen is the "Real DC United" to show up and beat the pants off the Dallas Burn!!!

Its a Thursday night... I hate to sound pessimistic, but I think everyone in attendance will be taking home a bobble-head.

Another member of the "wishing I was a Nielsen household, screaming at the TV, checking on the hooligans from my living room, banging the drum with my 2 yr old, drinking and not driving" Supporters Club checking in to say, "I'll be looking for the Eddie Pope paratrooper!"

And if you hear a "Win one for the General" chant, please join in. It is in honor of my newborn son who, according to friends who will be at the game, sounds like he was named after a Confederate Army general.

Thanks!

I am at home today with my 4 yr old who has
an ear infection so is too sick to do daycare today.

But by god, he is not too sick to go to the DC United game tonight!

I just hope the lines at the ticket trade in window
are not terrible. I meant to do it in the mail and forgot. oops

Yes. You must forsake your son's health and safety...otherwise, you're not a real fan.
