He is only 17 but Lionel Messi is probably the best up coming player Argentina has. He plays for Barcelona. He scored 35 goals in 30 on their junior squad last year. He was also the third youngest to make his debut for Barcelona last year when he was 16.

What do you think of Lucho Gonzalez? I heard that my club (Porto) is interested in him.

Lucho is an outstanding player.Has great ball control and has improved alot in defending aswell something I always noticed from him that being his weakness but like I said, this year with River and the Argentinean NT his game has gotten stronger and can only get better, not to mention has a good shot on goal also.Hopefully he doesnt go anywhere this year and stays in River atleast another year, him along with Mascherano will be "key" players in Rivers lineup if River decides to go after the Copa Libertadores 2005.

Yeah the kid has skills but it will be determined by how much playing time he gets.Remember hes playing in boca, where they are always buying players and giving the kids less chance of proving themselves. But who knows with selling Tevez and la nena schelloto leaving to Mexico he might just play more often.
