Cash-strapped Spanish Primera Liga outfit Atletico Madrid are preparing to sell their Vicente Calderon stadium to cover debts amounting to E270m ($335m), it has been reported.

My question is whether this move would vault Atletico into a financial position where they could be a consistent top 4 team in La Liga.
From what I read, it certainly looks that way. It looks like La Liga is becoming more than a top 4 elite league. A few noticeable up and comers teams are making people take notice.

This ain't even news. This has been clear ever since they declined the offer from RMadrid for Fernando Torres.
