So the thread title is a statement, but you're asking a question.

-------------Keller---------------
---Hejduk--Gooch---Pope---Convey

------Pablo-----------Lewis----
-------Landon--------DMB-----

--------Casey-----Wolff------

But I am not so sure if Pablo, and Wolff are 100%...

I do know that Gibbs is out with a suspension

With Gibbs out, just wondering what changes are coming ?

My guess is Gooch... Boca isn't 100% either... Gooch would be rested and ready.

Bruce will probably go with Gooch and Johnson from the start. The formation is anybody's guess. I personally liked the 3 man backline.

If I was the Bruce, I wouldn't get cute with my lineup right now (i.e., no Convey, no Casey)--3 points clinches it, and Panama shouldn't be underestimated. They looked very quick and dangerous going forward against Jamaica. I'd keep 4 in a flat back line and hope that Das Schweinhund gets back on form.

With the injury situation, coupled with the quick turnaround, it's hard to guess at a lineup, but for what it's worth:

-----------Keller--------------

Sanneh--Pope--Berhalter--Hejduk

------------Mastroeni------------

Donovan------------------Beasley

-------------Cletus---------------

-------Wolff---------McBride-----

Was Casey even called into this camp?

Yes he was....

but I am wondering what the injury status of our team is.

I have questions about Sanneh, Pablo, and Boca. And Wolff was hurt a little at the end of the ES game. With Gibbs already out, our D could be a little thin.

If the opponent has a very quick front line, I am not sure I would put Sanneh, Pope, and Berhalter in my back line. These guys were not that quick to begin with, and they are all in their thirties.

Two of the three are probably correct but I would expect that Bruce will put a quicker person back there along with Hejduk. But what do I know.

I don't know if I'd want Gooch starting. A central defender in his first cap in a match that could clinch a spot in the hex next year.

I wouldn't mind seeing him come on as a sub in the second half, much like Johnson, but starting would put a heck of a lot of pressure on him.

I'm guessing he goes with Timmy in net at rfk, but who knows. Personally I'd like to see Gooch in there, but I have to agree... Bruce will go with who he trusts and that is Beerholder and Pope, to start.

i think it might be

Howard ( two keepers were alternated last time around, expect the same )
Hejduk Pope Berhalter Convey ( playing home)
Zavagnin
Sanneh(Bruce said he will be used) Donovan Beasley ( Mathis just sux)
McBride Wolf

This lineup looks about right to me. I probably wouldn't like to see both Hejduk and Sanneh in there, and I'd want Keller instead of Howard but otherwise a good solid lineup.

I also agree that this lineup looks the most logical. Mathis has lost his starting spot. Sanneh, if heathy, can play holding mid with Zavag. Let Donovan be free to create without Mathis in the way.

Subs with a 2-goal lead -- the young guns Gavin, Gooch, and Johnson.

Subs in a tight game -- pick from Johnson, Lewis, Jones, Mastro.

Convey will definitely be in the starting lineup, with Pablo and Sanneh joining him (as long as both are healthy). Other than that I think the only two other changes are possibly Wolff and Mathis being replaced for other options, maybe Johnson and Lewis.

Agree about Convey. No way he sits on the bench. Playing at home we will play an attaching style and convey fits the bill on the left. Bruce did the same thing coming home after the away Panama game. Sat Bobby away, used him in attacking style at home the next game.

Prediction: Bobby will be a force on the left at his former home, with something to prove to Bruce (play me all the time). Bobby with 1 goal and 1 assist........and then heads back to Reading with new confidence and wins the starting role over the next couple games scoring and being the MOTM.

Ok.....where did I put that crack pipe?

I agree with you re: Convey. I'll bet he'll have an axe to grind and will play very well. I'd be willing to bet we see a very similar lineup with Convey, Sanneh, and Mastroeni replacing Hejduk, Gibbs, and Zavagnin, respectively.

Although they did not play, Gaven and Walker were with Metrostars in Oneonta yesterday, I doubt they will be returning to the Nats this week.

My guess:
-------------------------Howard---------------------------

Sanneh-----------Pope----------Berhalter--------------Boca

--------------------------Kerry/Pablo-----------------------

DMB----------------------Landon---------------------Lewis

-----------------McBride------------EJ--------------------

Allows Sanneh to slide into midfield to go 3-5-2 for a stint. DMB looked good on the right when Lewis came in on Sat. Whoever's healthier of KZ/Pabo. Maybe Wolff if he's OK with EJ a late sub. Maybe Convey if Boca can't go.

Frankie in the 2nd half if we have a lead. Probably Cobi as well, and Lewis/Convey if one of them doesn't start.
