I have played a season of div. 1 college soccer in NY. I have taken some time off from school and am looking to play abroad in 2005. I would like to know if anyone knows a good place to start to get in contact with some clubs for a tryout and fitness test. Any help is appreciated.

If you have an e.U. passport you will find it much easier to get trials with teams in Europe. Having set my 17 y/o son up with trials in England and Scotland, I would recommend that you prepare a resume (called a Curriculum Vitae over there incidentally), and then fax the training coaches with a letter and resume. You can get contact names from most teams webpages.
If you do not have an EU passport you will find it near impossible to be looked at overseas (in Europe anyway). If you have a parent or grandparent born in Europe you will be able to to apply for an EU passport at a consulate in the states. Good luck.
