I am real impresed with the way A Diarra is playing in lyon(season loan). He has been playin so well that he even got called for the french national team(to replace p. vieira),and even managed to play in the second half.lets hope he can keep on improving ,since he looks a real good prospect for the future.

He was bought about two years ago from Bayern Munich's reserve team. He has been out on loan here and there ever since. Has never played for our first team.

Bizarelly, he was linked with Real Madrid recently.

Saw him in the Eire-France game this weekend. Large (about six feet) with decent pace and good feet. He played a central defensive midfield role. His biggest contribution was a horrible two footed late challenge on Kilbane. All in all I saw nothing overly impressive but he also did not look out of place in the French team. Now Cisse -- more of the same -- seemed disinterested and unable to make any decisive contribution.

Well..this is certainly a bummer, me being a Bayern fan, because this guy was very promising in the reserve team and many Munchen fans had high hopes for him. Well....As long as he does well for one of my teams.

I can see this guy coming into the side next season, as he has now got some much needed first team experience under his belt. Playing for your national team and not be able to get into your normal team is strange.

hey, have to agree!his future does seem bright, and think that in a couple of years he and Raven(U-20 international ,seems a good prospect aswell)will be the reserve team central pairing, and will both soon after break into the starting line-up

Well to be fair, he is getting in to his normal team. He's never played a regular season match for Liverpool, so it would be a stretch to judge his club career by that standard. He is playing regularly for Lens, as he did for Bastia last season.

I wondered where he was at now. It's been so long sine I heard about him, I figured the Reds had given up on him. Good to hear he's playing well.

Does anyone know where the BS pub guide went to??? I just moved to PA and want to finda place to go for the footy...

Not to me - Keller, Howard, Convey, Reyna - heck, just making a European roster puts a player at the top of our national team list! ;^)

well, like Benitez said,he still has to develop into a player, only 22 or 23 yrs!if im not mistaken lens are in the uefa cup,so he should get european exp.which will be good.lets not forget that he came to the side only as vieiras replacement, and still hasnt won his place in the squad!,and didnt see him doin anything special for france the minutes h played!

but never the less,he seems a very good player that just needs time!
