The best Brazilians play in either Italy or Spain, not England. Are you telling me that Ronaldinho wouldn't be in the top three players in the EPL if he had signed with Manchester instead of Barca.
Who's the best Brazilian to ever play in the EPL? I honestly don't know of that many great ones.
Maybe they don't want all that rain and prefer the Spanish or Mediterranean climate.
Hey now, you're forgeting one very important country...Germany...they grow up like they drink beer....in surplus amounts.

Rooney? he has scored 15 goals in 67 matches for everton..lol never more than 8 a season. Henry averages over 25.
Rooney has nice EUro 2000. But face it he is average in the EPL. he did sh!t vs Boro.

Wow---a lot of new folks here in this corner of Bigsoccer since I've been out of the loop... a belated welcome from a long time poster coming back from a bit of a hiatus.
I need to see the Reds play more before I can make a comment on who to bring in--but I will say this, whomever it is, I hope Rafa buys someone English...

Yes, he needs to follow Diouf's footsteps through the door, and never come back. It sounded like he was the most useless player for us today, and Fulham's best player

yeah, i agree.as i said before,we should get a good backup for gerrard and alonso in the midfield, since DiDi is gettin to old.But i think that Diarra would be that replacement, but hell only come in the summer transfer window,so i think that we have to keep diao till then. The other option is giving welsh a chance and let diao go in the summer, but i dont see that happenin

Stop living in 1975. No one fears English players. They're second class to Brasilian, Spanish and Italian players. Even French players are better. You don't have a zidane and never will. Where is the English version of Thiereyy Henry? I don't see it. Benitez is thinking right. Only SWP is worthy. Joey Barton?..lol blah
Nah i reckon that england has more class midfielders than any other country n the planet, i mean tru zidane is world class but name 5 other players contending for a midfield place in the french team that have the ability of the likes of Parker, Lampard, Gerrard, Scholes, Murphy,Cole etc. But i agree with u on the Benetiz thing i think he has done very well to intice such talent to Anfeild and they will surely help our (liverpools) cause.
But to Henry i have 3 names for you Owen Defoe and Rooney

We missed ya LF. Yeh there's a lot of new faces, but us old farts are still hanging around and lurking waiting for the noise to die down.
Your intellect and knowledge has been missed in these parts and maybe you can teach these newbs a thing or two.
I have lost all patience myself.

Here's some things we've learned in this forum that you missed in the last few months, LF. Just want to get you caught up.
1) All Spanish players are garbage. (But particulary Josemi and Garcia.)
2) Rafa should have gotten the sack after two matches.
3) Manchester United have never won Europe.
4) Stevie G. hates the club and is counting the days until he can go to Chelsea, a team with real history and tradition.
5) All English players are crap.
6) Also, we have too many foreigners on our team.
7) WildMan was actually a fairly rational, thoughtful poster with ideas well grounded in reality.
That's just off the top of my head.

Lets ship out that wanker Kewell and get Stewart Downing from Middlesburough while he still costs under 10 million.

Welcome to these boards.
I think it's a little early to be jumping on the Downing bandwagon. He's had one good round of press following McClaren's meaningless aside about him playing on the left for England. His form for Boro has been consistent rather than spectacular and prior to this season he was average at best.

Downing scored again tonight for Boro in the UEFA Cup. How much doesBoro want for him?
