OK, it's not footy related. I just want to know why I get green or grey nipples on my reputation thingy. Well green I sort of figure is a good thing but why grey...???

Grey just means the person giving you rep doesn't have a high enough of post count (or high enough rep??) to give you extra points on your rep total.
So you get the rep notification but no points for it.

Stig was prescribed Valtrex, although it may not have been as serious as what you describe here. Ask your doctor.

Is it true that Mod can reward more rep points? I've got a post that was rewarded 16 points by a mod. :D
And btw, why was my rep points slashed by >50% a while ago for no apparent reason?

The more rep someone has, the more points their rep is worth.
In other words, don't piss me off or I'll take you down.
And btw, why was my rep points slashed by >50% a while ago for no apparent reason?
They changed the rep feature to only count rep given in a specific time frame. 30 days, I think.

Grey just means the person doesn't have enough "rep juice" to affect you. It has no effect. Usually newbies give grey rep.
