I think Goltv in Spanish is in the 800's. Cost extra too.

Looks like the early leader is the Dish Network route. I would think that most soccer fans interested in satellite would choose Dish Network for the chance to watch GolTV and FSW.

I've got comcast in Mass. I checked my local channel lineup, and it lists Gol tv in english. They even signed me up for the sports pack it's included in. The responses I've gotten since vary from it should be currently available to it should be available in a few weeks to comcast decided months ago that they weren't going to offer Gol tv in english. Very frustrating, but sadly unsurprising.

My cable company (Cablevision) offers it in the spanish package only. But I watch the SAP feed to get mostly English.

man I feel for you, you would rather have Cardiff vs. Millwall replayed three times a week over La Liga and Serie A games? plus alot of UEFA cup matches and Champions League
The Real Madrid TV stuff is worth the cost alone Magia Blanca

Same thing in Baltimore County. Package is $2/month for the 3 Fox College Sports channels; FSW, Gol TV in English, NBA TV, CSTV and NFL Network.
Gol TV and FSWE are on the Spanish tier, which is $10/month.

GolTV is only getting better and better, and I highly recomend it to everyone if only for the Phil Shoen/Ray Hudson commentary on games,by FAR the best insight and entertainment on the air and what a breath of fresh air after suffering through the likes of Tommy Smyth and Wynalda etc. However I know quite a number of people whoreally would like to recieve the English language GolTV on their cable systems but for a variety of reasons can`t....If GolTV could sort that out they`d have a lot more viewers hooked....Great soccer station though, really.

This is just my opinion... but that PHIL SHOEN.. he may be the worst voice i have ever heard.. and I have heard some horrible crews in a booth or solo commentries.. he is so completely clueless (unless he wants to show off his knowledge of the Spanish Language). He overtalks throughout and tells completely pointless stories.. I have never turned down a broadcast before till I watched that FIFA centennial match.. what an embarrasment to commentary.. worthless.. Ray Hudson is solid, unfortunately, I have to turn him down to not hear that other waste of space.

The reason I got DISH was cuz of GolTV. If they take it off, I would seriously reconsider my service with DISH.

I got Dish network. Went with them over DirecTV because of the availability of GolTV.
Between GolTV for Serie A and La Liga, FSW for EPL and variety of others, FSW Espanol for Copa Libs, and Globo Int for Brasileiro, I'm almost there.....if Dish ever offers ESPN DEPORTES (I'm willing to pay extra for those extra CL games) I'd be pretty much satisfied.

i've got dish network and bell expressvu (from canada)
i get soccer on goltv, fox sports world, fox sports en espanol, tvei, isreili, espn2, fox sports net, rtp, globo, rai, telemundo, univision, telefutura, azteca, centroamerica tv, tv5 USA, LBC America, ART America, and pay per view on dish network
on expressvu i get soccer on tsn, rds, tv5, rogers sports net, fsw canada, telelatino, and pay per view.
still even with canada's bell expressvu i don't get as many champions league games as i would with ESPN deportes. i really do wish a satellite provider would get it, but as long as ESPN wants to charge providers a premium to carry it, it's going to remain small time.
to bring things back on topic, out of all the channels I get the ones i could NOT live without would be GolTV and Fox Sports World. The variety of content on GolTV is amazing. there's ALWAYS something cool on. I need fox sports world for arsenal, but GolTV is the first one i check to see if something good is on.

I have absolutely the opposite opinion. Phil Schoen is extremely knowledgable and he has to cover many more leagues than most. He can pronounce the names unlike a lot of those american announcers over at FSW. He also calls a match like most British commentators only with an American accent.
Ray Hudson is a awful. He calls a game like it's a wine tasting show or a fine art specialist. "Oh, the smell of the pitch." "Oooo, that move was as graceful as a ballerina!" Give me a break. Somebody find this guy a coaching job and get him out of the booth.

Kev ...spot on with Ray Hudson. I think he was better a few years ago, but now the humor is gone for me.
Phil: Pretty good. Don't mind his voice and he really does a good job.

Comcast has just added Golv TV in Arlington however, in order to get it you have to sign up for Comcast Digital plan which is like 60 plus you need 10 to subscribe to GolTV and Fox Sports World.
Yet again Comcasts high jacks the price and screws us the customers.

Not to say that Comcast aren't pocket-raping bastards, but the digital service only adds $15/mo to the cost of analog.
Verizon is laying fiber optic cable in my neighborhood. While it sucks that my yard looks like crap, I'm looking forward to the competition.
