Hey guys..

I was just wondering where you had your Barra Brava Jerseys made, and if you can PM me with the info... Trying to see if we can do something similar with La Norte...

Thanks... :D

The jerseys were made in Bolivia via an Oscar connection, the T-shirts "Muerte o Gloria' and Insecurity were made in Culpeper, VA at a place called FredericksDesigns. It would be great if La Norte had a shirt or jersey. I always thought the La Norte caps were pretty cool and original. Good luck.

Another quick q...

Do you have to ask DC United permission to use their logos on the banners?

I suppose, in theory :) I had a thread about it on main board in summer, search under "dc logo"

I didn't ask, if that's what you're looking for. It's a banner in support of DCU and it's non profit (actually, it's opposite of profit hehe), someone would have to have an extra size baseball bat up their a$$ to be upset about it. :D

PS it's 2004 and my team in Croatia just copyrighted their symbol last month LOL

If you're looking for something REALLY local, Salvatore (you know, the drummer guy) does shirts and printing. I believe his shop is in Ballston. Obviously he's easy to find on game day and he usually has some flyers.

As far as logos, this is what's on the front page of the MLS website:
© 2004 MLS. MLS, Major League Soccer, the MLS logo, MLS team identifications, MLS Cup, MLS All-Star Game, their designs, logos, uniform designs, color combinations and slogans used on or in connection with this site are trademarks, copyrighted designs and other forms of intellectual property of Major League Soccer, L.L.C., and may not be used, in whole or part, without the prior written consent of Major League Soccer, L.L.C. All Rights Reserved. USE OF THE WEBSITE SIGNIFIES YOUR AGREEMENT TO THE TERMS OF USE AND PRIVACY POLICY

Are you going to be nailed if you use the DC logo on merchandise? Who knows. If MLS REALLY wanted to be hard-assed though they could go after you AND the company that made your stuff. I think on the banners there might be a little more leeway as that's not you or LN profiting from the team logo (vs merchandise). Something to think about, anyway.

Yeah I agree with you thanks... I don't think we were going to put the DCU logo on the jersey though, since we are selling those... but.. the Barra does have the DCU logo on their jerseys... hmm... I'll just contact someone in DCU just be safe.

Thanks again.

Dude, just freakin print it out. As long as butts are in seats, United won't give you too much crap.

For the record... We don't SELL nor have we ever sold Barra Brava jerseys. They are FREE to members.

We did sell the numerous Barra T-shirts, but those have no mention of DC United or MLS on them.

Frankly, this topic comes up ever year. DC United is cool about these things. And even if the league isnt, no one has even heard a whisper from them. The team even said they were fine with my Dave Johnson sound bite when my band recorded our DC song.... Take that for what it is worth.

--When the team/league starts nickel and diming fans over free jerseys promoting their team I'll seriously reconsider showing up to games or helping to promote their team.

Well even though I'm a long time DC United fan, I'm new to the whole Supporters scene so I had no idea came up.. But I'm glad you guys cleared it up for me though.. now we just have to get together with the guys to come up with the bestest jersey ever.. :D
