The point is: he's an idiot. Does he really think the Chelsea faithful will abandon a defensive side if we win the EPL? Does he really believe teams are coming to Stamford Bridge looking to play wide open soccer against us? Alienated who? Duff - who started the last 3 matches? Johnson - who has not said anything despite not playing yet? Gallas - who has been shifted around the back line again? Cudicini - who hasn't played yet? The fact is that NONE of these players have voiced concerns.

The only players he (may) have alienated are Mutu for telling him not to sacrifice his club commitments for international duty when he is not 100% fit, and Parker - who has not said anything publicly about his lack of first team opportunities. JM moved to explain the Parker situation last week and said he will get his chance.

The only people he has actually alienated are the media and opposing fans like you who can't bear to see him following through on what he promised. Maintaining a league title challenge and improving on last season's CL finish. Nice attempt at a wind up though.
