Rosenborg are better than Arsenal.

Arsenal fans seem to think that to be the best club in the world, you only need to perform in your domestic league. Therefore Rosenborg, who are going for their 13th consecutive championship, are the best.

Before anyone bad reps me or has a go, I am using the same logic that the 200-odd who voted for Arsenal did.

What a poor comparison. At the highest level, only three domestic leagues are comparable: A) Prem, B) Serie A and C) La Liga.

With the EPL being in last place. What about Die Bundesliga? It is more competative than the EPL.

The point I was making was that Arsenal fans say that because they dominant in their domestic league, they must therefore be the best. I was merely pointing out that by using their logic, Rosenborg deserve to be included as well. They have been more dominant than Arsenal domestically. Do you catch my drift?

Domestic form isn't the only thing that must be considered!

Polls with such results just demonstrate why it is useless to post such threads. Arsenal are not even the best team in their country. How is it possible that they are, as this poll suggests, by far the best in the world.

Realistic choices would include Juve, Milan, Chelsea, Barca, and here goes nothing, Liverpool.

I would have to say that when this post was made the best team on paper was Madrid. Beckham,Figo,Zidane,Ronaldo but now Beckham isnt what he used to be Zidane is old and about to retire, Figo is gone, and Ronaldo is retiring soon. I think one of the best is Barcalona. Madrid could never beat Barca and they always win the Spanish league. Right now unfortunitly because I am a Man U fan the best is Chelsea. They won the Premiership and came in 2nd in the champions league, and they lost to Liverpoole which could not of beet them a 2nd time if they had to. I dont think Arsenal is one of the best because they fail to win England almost every year even with French players dominating there roster almost to the point where there the French national team-Zidane.

barça... real deep squad, with mans of duty and magicians... eto'o is clinical, his sub is henrik larsson, one of biggest european strikers in my opinion... ronaldinho's ability is far beyond discussion... deco, giuly, xavi makes up nice midfield... and ones like messi is the future of football... i enjoy watching them on the pitch anytime...

Houston Earthquakes.

Seriously though, this poll is a joke. Arsenal have something like 500 votes? Where is this poll being taken - Florida? There are only three teams vying for this spot at the moment imo - the top teams from La Liga, EPL, and Seria A are all for right now so I gotta say:

Barcelona, Chelsea, Juventus.

This years CL winner should decide this.

Considering this poll and thread were begun in October 2004--over a year ago--could it be we need a new, more relevant one?
