Okay I voted earlier and didn't bother posting, but since everyone is wondering why Arsenal have so many votes. First of all there are people like me who voted but didn't post. Second of all, has anyone seen which boards tend to have the most people on them? Obviously the English Premier League dominates the boards, then if you look at the individual teams Arsenal looks to have quite a few people on it.

Well, they are a MASSIVE club.

But seriously. I'd say Arsenal, but with a caveat of sorts. I think they are incredibly more effective with DB10 supporting Henry and Reyes running in the midfield. Obviously the problem with judging them is for European competition DB10 is out for away matches. I think with Reyes and Henry up front Arsenal is far less effective and cohesive as the Rosenberg performance showed. They still have ungodly talent. But DB10 is a special player who seems to link that team together and it is a little unglued without him (although still good enough to beat any team on their given day).

Barca would hump the gooners, and i'm being serious...

judging by all the european soccer I've watched so far, the best team has to be Arsenal and the best player is Henry.
I dont know much about the South American clubs which I assume are also good, but Arsenal in the EPL looks flatout unbeatable

I will admit I am a Chelsea fan, however I cannot discount Arsenal's remarkable undefeated run, as well as a GENERALLY solid record in Europe as of late. And, yes, they didn't win the Champions League last year, but they dominate the most competitive soccer league in the world, the EPL. Therefore my vote is also Arsenal, even if they don't win Europe. They have tougher competition domestically than Barca, Valencia, Bayern Munich, etc.

So you have to be able to compete in Europe to be the world's best? There are clubs on other continents y'know. Fine, then the best team is Boca Juniors because they beat AC Milan in the Intertoto Cup last year.

Actually Arsenal had over 100 voted by the time any other club had 25 and before there were 10 replies. Someone (or multiple people) thought they'd be smart and vote a few hundred times, it's happened in other polls. Hell if I wanted to I could vote for "Other" 500 times.

So you have to be able to compete in Europe to be the world's best?

You need to be consistantly good in both domestic and continental competitions. Arsenal are not.

Arsenal, Arsenal, Arsenal, Arsenal. No team can dictate the flow of play like the Invinciable Gunners.

Right....so I take it you voted for Porto then??

Arsenal lost out getting to the semis of last years Champions League by one goal. It was a hard fought EPL style match against Chelsea.......which either team could have won on the night.

They were knocked out the FA Cup by United.......and noone beat them in the league. So they were effectively beaten by two teams also in the running for "best team in the world".

My way of looking at polls like this is by asking who, if playing at their absolute best......is the best. When AC are flying, they're irrestistible. When Barca are in form, they're frightening, but when Arsenal start the one-touch fast breaking.....it's something special. Hey it's all opinion.

I vote for Racing Santander.....simply fantastic.

If you consider two seasons to be a mark of consistancy, then Porto would obviously win.

I think St. George has it 100% right here. I have been an AC Milan fan for years, and I respect many other teams, but no other team consistently performs at the level that Arsenal has performed over the last 2 years.

If you don't agree with us, ask the oddsmakers who they fancy to win the Champs League. I guarantee Arsenal is #1 or #2. They have a strong defense and the most terrifying counterattack in the world.

Of course, just like any other team, they have days when they are not on their game. Such as the first half of their game this season with Bolton, when they looked a bit asleep.

Arsenal has only lost twice in the past year, once to Chelsea, once to Man Utd, right? How many other teams in the world can go undefeated while playing Chelsea, Man U, Newcastle, etc twice?

Not many, which is why I'd have to give the gunners the nod. I'd love to see an AC Milan/Arsenal Champs league encounter, as I think they are the best 2 teams in Europe. Honorable mentions: Chelsea, Barca, Juve, Valencia.

For all the Real Madrid suppporters: Try winning at least ONE trophy before calling yourselves the best in the world, or for that matter, the best in Spain.
