my favorite quote:
"It's going to destroy our quality of life," Karen Gabersek said. "You're not going to be able to see the stars. You're going to hear noise from these soccer lunatics. We're concerned about crime in the neighborhood.

Good luck to DCU and the Fairfax community!

here we have the perfect thinking of an US anti-soccer fan.... i hate when that happens... they thinks that soccer means riots....

another thing that liked in the article...

"...Neighbors said they fear the traffic, the overflow parking, the noise and the lights, even though most of the 169-acre park would be maintained as a natural preserve....

... I worry about the wildlife, too...."

this people is INSANE... those are soccer practice fields.. is not going to be a 80K NFL stadium for god sake!!!!!

They also complain about the "noise" that will be brought into their neighborhoon. Look at the map in the article. Just north of the proposed soccer fields.....

These people need to get a life. Talk about NIMBYs.

i can't believe this lady... $700,000 homes on 5 acre lots and she complains about soccer fields? maybe it's because if anything below a Rolls Royce is seen in the neighborhood, home values will drop... show some compassion for your community for crying out loud

What how dare you insult my friends. Calling us criminals. Just for that, Ms. Gabersek, I'm gonna rob your house this weekend. :)
