I've made this point elsewhere so I'll make it here as well. This used to be a guaranteed 6 pointer for us. So if people look for progress at Chelsea, look no further than the fact that this is a very important game against one of the toughest team's in the EPL, but no longer a guaranteed 6 pointer.

I am going on holiday :( I had to book it before the fixtures were anounced so I have one very happy friend who has my season ticket. Now all I have to do is find a pub that is showing the game in the back of beyond in Yorkshire.

Rumors on FiveLive are saying that Bridge will be out tomorrow as well as out of the England setup for this week. Baba was not in the team Wednesday night, and I've not read that he is back to fitness, so my guess for tomorrow would be:
Cech
Ferreira-Carvalho-Terry-Gallas
Duff-Lampard-Makalele-Cole
Drogba-Kezman
No ticket for me, so I shall be in the pub tomorrow. Come on Chelsea!

Um..perhaps in recent years it has been, i certainly remember far too many poor performances though.
This is my pet match of the year to get wound up for.
If ever there was a club in England deserving of the term 'cocky, arrogant, snide, smug, hateful' fans, it was the Liverpool lot of my youth.
They were, without the shadow of a doubt, the most obnoxious fans of the game at that time.
Hope we thump them good and proper.

I'd be a lot more concerned about Gallas on the left if he weren't facing *snort* Finnan. Houllier - er, I'm sorry, Benitez, is almost certain to field a 4-5-1 and play Garcia behind Cisse. I predict Liverpool will have about 8 offisdes (at least) and we'll nick at least one off a set piece. Their "zone marking" system hasn't been, er, perfected yet. To the tune of 3 goals off set pieces in 2 games.
This is a game we need to win if we claim we're ready to be champions. We had a great record against Pool at home (except last year:rolleyes:) under Ranieri. Lets hope Mourinho can keep that going, and we can finally score in the league like we do in Europe. I hope to see Ferreira abuse Riise.

Nah, you've not changed, you just don't have the team to back up the smugness anymore ;)

look for iceman and drogba to stay on for the whole match, since kezman is not available, because of a groin strain

For those of you without access to television viewing (like me), there's actually an online stream with English commentary!
www.calciolibero.com (http://www.calciolibero.com/)
Click on Calcio in diretta on the left for a listing of the matches. The ESPN link for the Liverpool/Chelsea works. It's a little choppy at first, but settles once everyone gets connected.Just thought I'd share. :)

He he he he............I'll take that, we'll need it......You did mean us? Because it looks like your buggers are playing better than ours right now.
We're saving it for the 9rd minute.
