Half time. Liverpool had moments but Chelsea looked better.
I'm going to have a chat with the team and sort them out!!!

Um...Chels threaten and Liverpool survive.
We're playing well, skinning them down the left and Ferriera is beating them on the right when he goes forward.
Their back line is saving them so far, Kirkland isn't dodgy, but he's looking very unsettled.
Poor 'ol Lampard - hope we don't regret those misses.
Liverpool have had chances and are clearly dangerous.
Still, with more of the same in the second half we'll have more chances than they do, we'll just have to finish them off to get the points.
Duff is having a great game again.
Pity about Drogba.

pool look quite disiplined at the back today, but saying that chelsea are looking threating, lampard should probably have scored already.loseing drogba is a blow since imo gudjohnsen has been very quite in the first half.look's like it's going to be a pretty tough second half & once again one goal could settle it,but hopefully it'll be for us.

Sorry but I'm just tuning in. What happened to Drogba? Even though I'm the enemy I enjoy the way he plays. LOL

1-0 to the Chelsea.
Deserved win for us.
We definitely weren't the same attacking team in the second half that we were in the first, although that could be put down to not attacking the wings as much when Drogba went off.
Cole had a decent game and again our back line and midfield were solid.
Liverpool were an average team, they'll be lucky to kep Spurs and Newcastle out of that final champs league spot if they don't improve, probably have a real fight to get the UEFA slot in fact.
Do we need to score more goals?
Interesting question i suppose that is being considerably negated by only letting in 1 in 8 games.

nice one :D
well pleased with the 1-0 win,but saying that why oh why did'nt joe square that ball in the last few min's to geremi????that would have put the game outta sight for liverpool.
anyway the points are on the board and like andy gray was saying, were still keeping in touch with arsenal without being attractive so far and after all how long did it take wenger to get aresnal to play at the level their playing at the moment.
you know,i believe and i know most of you guy's feel the same, that sooner rather that later that the flair will come, and when it does it'll be pretty awesome.after all for the talent at the club it is really only a matter of time, new manager and all.
so to sum up,liverpool were quite tough today, but we played well, took our chance and stayed solid at the back once again.
well pleased :)
just while im typeing this jose has said in this pre-match interveiw that drogba will be out for a couple of weeks!!!.....i hope not.

Our next match is an a couple of weeks, so I think there's a good chance he'll be back by then.

Good well deserved win.
1-0 but many chances to finish, near total control and domination.
Bad news is JM just said Drogba out for a few [3]weeks, but Kez. & Mutu should be back after the break.
"We are the 2nd best team in premiership, the best English team in CL, and unbeatable, so let me enjoy my monday...[piss off and stop asking me about not scoring more goals you effing wankers]" JM
JM re: Cole happy with the goal but not at all happy with his contribution to defensive organazation, especially after goal. Named man of the match, announcers would have picked Duff, I agree. Hopefully Cole did enough to get the England start.
Smertin nice tasmanian devil all over field performence, Ferreira showed some ice cool brilliant moments on the D, and looking good going forward, bad penalty at the end however.
Duff played really well, Carv., Mak nice games.
Not his best game but Liverpool announcer said Terry a much better player than Rio.
Lamp really needs a short rest or an EPL goal, though played well outside of finishing and some corners, but won't get or accept it with the record ongoing.

What a relief when Cole put that one in!
Very impressed by Carvallho and Terry at the back, and every game that goes by I am more impressed with Ferreira.
Dare I say Gallas looked dangerous in the attack?
For once the international break is coming at the right time. I'd love to see Kezman and Mutu come back healthy and ready to prove they belong. I still think Mutu will contribute.

Good win you guys, probably should have scored at least one more but you only get 3 points regardless.
One of the comments on our board was "Duff josed Josame" and I think Duff is a whiney little snot. but was dangerous today though.
Terry helped your lack of scoring by keeping us from scoring. And our biggest problem was, not so much lack of Gerard but the guy they had in to replace him and gave away 'the' free kick for Joe Cole to score.
I often wonder why Cole is playing for you, classless git.

Yeah, I noticed him failing to get back and get a foot in too. Hopefully JM giving him a kick up the backside like this even when Joe thinks he's played well will make him concentrate a bit more.

Actually a very wise man once said on these boards, (well, OK, it was me), that young Cole is typical of West Ham players in that it's all about looking good and impressing the supporters with no regard to the outcome of the match. If he could only concentrate and get his thumb out of his arse....
To be fair to the 'ammers, though, what do you notice about this possible future England line-up.
Kirkland
Johnson Ferdinand Terry Bridge
SWP Lamps Gerrard Cole
Rooney Defoe
5 our of 11 from a minor London club... much as it may tick off the Clanman they've got to be doing something right down there.

Fair shout Andy, they had a good run there for a while, in fact, if they were a proper club they could have bred a class to rival the United kids of '92.
But they 'aint a proper club.
As for Cole, i watched the game again this afternoon, and happened to kind of see why Mourinho was ticked off.I, however, would have been more upset at his lack of team play, in the department of 'looking for a team mate' when in on goal and having your route blocked.
No, not our Joe - went glory hunting he did, when passing the ball square would/could have resulted in goals for both Geremi and Lampard.

Hmm. Just thinking out loud here, (well, it's written isn't it, but you know what I mean), but haven't we got some kind of rough agreement with PSV for them to act as a feeder club for us.
Hmm. I'm just thinking...

Finally, Paulo Ferreira game by game decided to show what he is capable of, but he is still improving he can do better.
