I'm looking for info on the Basque Country (i.e. Geographic Make-up, History, Soccer History, etc.). Any websites (in English preferably, as my French and Spanish is cursory at best) would be appreciated.

QuangoSoccer history, refer to Phill Ball's "Morbo"
but also try www.athletic-club.es (http://www.athletic-club.es/) has a fairly decent english section, with alot in regards to their storied history.
for general Basque history, if you are so interested, I highly recomend "The Basque History of the World" by Mark Kurlansky. He is a great writer and now a family friend. I'll even lend you my copy if you promise to return. same for Morbo.
Websites:
http://www.basqueclubs.com/Pages/a-basque.htm start here.
then try www.basqueheritage.com (http://www.basqueheritage.com/) enter the site in english.(btw, when you enter the site, that symbol you see is the Ancient Basque symbol called the "Laburu" or in english "Fourheads", which symbolizes north, south, east, west. this symbol is sadly very similar looking to a swastika) use the index on the left to navigate the page.
other sites
www.euskadi.net (http://www.euskadi.net/) (basque goverment page has very good english section)
www.eeny.org (http://www.eeny.org/) (Basque news updated daily in various languages)
www.basque.ws (http://www.basque.ws/) (the society of Basque Studies in America)

Thanks a lot for the information. I just got "Morbo" through Amazon UK and am now getting "The Basque History of the World" through my library.
It appears Bayonne is the North end of the Basque country. My grandmother was from Bayonne, so I'm going to try and learn a bit about it. Thanks again.

"The Basque History of the World" has been interesting so far. A lot of info, but a meandering writing style. Kurlansky seems to be writing whatever came into his head, with no coherency between paragraphs.
Is the dark red of Osasuna's uniforms "rouge Basque"?
