It is my understanding there will be a few players there for autographs and photos, and perhaps food, and you can check out the seats and purchase your season tickets if you have not already. Cheapest seats will be $10 general admission, so $200 for the 20 games. The time will be 12-4, or 1-5ish; an exact time had not been determined yet.

Thanks ShockMom, I was just looking up ticket prices for airfare, but the cheapest ones were $350 roundtrip. Oh well, you guys just better take a lot of pictures for the Loyalist website!

I guess I didn't put this in the meeting notes... I am sorry. I don't have my notes infront of me, but I believe that blitzzfan and I were told it would be 12-4. Blitzzfan if I am wrong please correct me...

Good question, wish I had an answer. I heard that David Beckham is going to be available.

I bet. I guess it will be random MLS players because at that point they won't have any real players. Or maybe Blitzz players?

Earlier this summer there was a similar event plan that had Preki, Meola, and Cobi in town for the announcement. KC & LA didn't have a game that week.
That date was scrapped because bigsoccer shouted down Real (speculation)
Who doesn't have a game on the 9th? We were told be I don't remember right now.
12-4 was/is the plan.

Colorado and Chicago do not have games on October 9 (http://www.mlsnet.com/MLS/schedule/index.jsp#current). Of course, the US WCQ against El Salvador is also scheduled for October 9 so that probably means Pablo Mastroeni and Chris Armas would not be at your rally. The Jamaicans Damani Ralph and Andy Williams would not be available neither.
Good luck and have fun.

Colorado and Chicago have "off" on the 9th.
Also, in case you guys missed it, several other Loyalists are reporting that SLC MLS front office is calling Reserve Season Ticket holders and telling them about the Oct 9th Rally at RES. So I think that makes it official. :)

Here is an article that purports that there are already over 500 season ticket holders for the SLC soccer team:
www.oursportscentral.com/services/releases/?id=3090500&l_id=&t_id=>
In addition there is a list of local celebrities who have bought season tickets.
“Season ticket holders will receive an inaugural season scarf, media guide and t-shirt, exclusive "Meet the Team" opportunities, ticket exchange program priority and priority seat selection in future seasons.”
The article also says that Joe Cannon and Jean-Philippe Peguero of the Colorado Rapids will be present at Saturday’s unveiling of the name…. Interesting.

Wow, they got the Mayor and the Governor there. Nice.
Who is this mysterious TBA guy for coach? He must be foreign. :)
Thanks Arelius.

Tonight there was a BYU soccer game, so I printed up about 100 little flyers for the rally this saturday and gave them to people as they exited the game. It sounded like people were going to show up, so hopefully it worked. Just an idea, if anyone knows of a soccer event before then (friday I guess).
Me: Soccer fan? (hands flyer)
Dude: Why else would I be at the soccer game?
Me: Well just because you are here doesn't mean you are a fan.
Dude: Whatever...
Me: Soccer fan?
Next dude: No, not at all, I just bring my daughters to the games.
HAHA FIRST DUDE I WAS RIGHT! (Come to the rally!)

Dittos to that! Czar got some Rep from me for his efforts.
Such is the transforming power of soccer. I actually gave Rep to a guy for spending a couple hours at BYU.
Above all, to thy own self be true...............

I don't know about anyone else but my bellybutton has been puckering and un-puckering for a few days now.
One bad thing though, the wind is supposed to start blowing pretty hard sometime Saturday as a cold front moves closer. Hopefully we can get everything announced and all of the hot dogs eaten before the dust starts to take over.

Good luck to you guys tomorrow
I hope they come up with a decent name for you and good colours.
[Insert obligitory remark about "Real" here]
Looking forward to some of you making the trip to KC next season.

Czar- BYU plays pointy ball tonight, not sure if you have got an Extra 60,000 flyers kicking around. I'd help if I still lived there, but C-bus is a long way away (Oh, and I'll still be a Crew fan above all else).
