i have a forest jersey signed by there entire team i want to raffle or auction for u for dc. i had thought about donating it for an auction at one of the events but i got to thinking it might be cooler to raffle it off. i know most of us have a good feeling towards dave and their fans so i thought it would be cooler if a barra-affiliated type won it in a raffle.

so would there be any interest from anyone? i'd just do it at the NE or Scum game tailgates (or both even) and see how much we could get and then raffle it off. we might even get a couple of other items or something.

I like the idea of a raffle Rob.

--Do you think you would make enough from it though? I'd like someone in the Barra to win it (ie ME :D) but at the same time I wouldnt want you to get $20 out of the deal.

i want to make the most cash for the charity--i don't know how the shirt would do in any of the "silent auctions" u for dc has at their events. i figured if we did $1 tickets we could sell a few--but maybe we'd only get $20 or so, i don't know. it is a fairly special item, i'd like to get at least $100 for it.

I tell you what Rob, I'll make it interesting. I'll throw in the Official CSC hat that was scored at the last home match. If someone could attach the pic of it that is in the Barra site I would appreaciate it.

That should beef up the total.

To add to that I have an unworn DCU hat that is autographed by Mike Petke that reads "To the Barra Brava, thanks for your support.....Mike Petke". I only ask that a cut of the overall take goes to Mike's charity.

I hate to part with either one, but I have a weak spot for doing the right thing for charity.

I would buy a couple of tickets, even at $5 a pop.
It is righteous that you're willing to part with this for charity, and sweet that it will be barra-centered.

Good idea R&B. I'm guessing that you could raise $100 in a raffle.

If a minimum you would like is $100 then stipulate that when selling the tickets. I am sure with the great 'Brothers and Sisters' at the tailgate that you would easily exceed that amount anyway :)

So to start the ball rolling stick me down for $10.00 worth of tickets mate and the 'freshly printed green and crinckly' ten buck bill will be in the next 'Red Cross Parcel' to you!

i'm in for $20. make tix $5 and sell them over next few tailgates, i'm sure we'll reach $100 in no time.

Dave, do you want to do the petke hat separately so his charity can get the money and we can track it?

I think it goes without saying that whoever wins the CSC hat has to give Chico first chance at buying it :D
