The on-loan Chelsea hitman Mikael Forsell ruled out with injury until April

Bruce: "I would not have thought that we would extend his loan deal," said Bruce. "We could not see any point in it because we hear that he can't play again until next April so his season is effectively finished."

Say he makes a remarkable comeback say in Feb, or even, March, will he get a Chelsea game or will he make an early comeback for Brum?

he won't play for Brum again (unless they sign him next summer). for us? if Mutu has a fit and buggers off in january (not a real chance of that) or if we have a striker injury late on (hope not) & he's fit (chances are...not good actualy) he just might get a game.

i think as he improves he'll get minutes and then games in the reserves, but unless we find out Whoops, it was just a scratch!:D, he's all but done with his first team footie for the season.

From what I understand he's pretty much done for the entire season without a doubt, as Bruce was referring to in the quote. Its too bad... he's fun to watch.

I think his deal was for either

A) season-long loan with the ability for Chelsea to recall him in January
or
B) half-season loan until January with option for Brum to renew for whole season

Either way, if he won't be back til March at the earliest then Brum won't keep him and pay his wages. And to be honest I don't think March/April/May will be the most opportune time for him to try to come back into a Chelsea side that will hopefully be challenging for league, domestic cup, and CL titles. I think the best case scenario is that he comes back and steps up his rehab enough to be able to go back out on loan for March-May. That or he comes back and rehabs all spring and summer to make a serious push for a spot here starting next season.
