I have several questions, and you guys have been too damn helpful so here there are:

1. If you lose your playoff game, do you switch spots with the team you lost to? (Several people have said yes, but I was just wondering if its been confirmed)

2. How does the placement prize money work, and approximately how much is it? For example, if I finish 5th in DV and lose my playoff game, do I recieve the 5th place money for DV or money for DVI? When is that money paid out?

3. I know that supporter mood and team spirit resets at the end of the season, but is there anything that does?

I have more questions I'm sure...

1. Yes. Confirmed. It happened to me last year.

2. I don't think you get prize money for fifth and below. I think the money is paid out after the qualifiers.

3. I'm pretty sure confidence and sponsor mood also resets. There may be other stuff I'm forgetting about as well.

1. Yes, you just replace each other.

2. only 1-4 get money for placing, 5-8 do not, the money is paid out after the qualifier

3. Yes, confidence, sponser mood are also reset, as are yellow cards.

Check out this site by Helghallen that gives the offseason dates for this season

1. Thanks!

2. I found it in the rules, and you are correct. Only the top 4 get money. The chart can be found here

3. Thanks!

New question:

4. The reason I asked the prize money question is because I heard that teams are "awash in money" at the beginning of the season. The prize money is not that much, so where does this statement come from? Is there something I'm missing?

Your supporters also pony up $30 a head sometime in the offseason. It's not much, but every little bit helps. Not sure about this whole 'awash in money' business, though.

I don't know about awash with money, but you do get $30 for each support that you have, so that is usually over 30K US, but after that, there isn't much money to be had from out of season stuff.

You beat me to it Lone Star.

I think teams are 'awash with money' because of the extra income coming from cup games.

Also trainees tend to be sold at the end of one season beginning of another.

some of thte wash comes from this i think.

Teams that promote will get decent prize money, but it won't really be enough for anybody beyond VI to buy anything (I'm on the border between IV and top-level V and I won't upgrade any position for less than a million now). It's still not a bad time to sell -- people like me are looking for immediate help for qualifiers (where any good player in good form can be a nice quick fix) -- and others are starting to think about turning over trainees and/or spending their bank account to compete in their new series.

Aside from the qualifier rush, though, you might want to wait a couple of weeks -- then there will also be a handful of people who score lottery youth pulls with a million (give or take) burning a hole in their pockets.

That's what I did today, I had money in the bank from trainee sells and a sellout this weekend, spent it on a new striker and a new goalie as well, I figure I need them to help me to compete better in my series next season.

I will be doing that as well. Probably at the beginning of the season.

The demotee looks to be very tough offensively. He's a scoring trainer (but said he trained keepers, when a series mate asked) and could make a fortune selling some of his strikers. My only advantage is my midfield right now.

I am hoping to buy a new keeper and maybe a few defenders as well. I'll take my chances with my strikers for now.

Should I switch to stamina training now or next week?

Next week. You should have two games this week. Then next week, barring a qualifier, switch to stamina.

After getting knocked around too many times in the second half I have decided to switch to stamina a week early.

Understandable. During my abbreviated first season, I trained stamina once or twice before the offseason. When you're just starting out, why not. Just remember that multiple weeks of stamina training will likely throw your form in the tank. But it will rise again, keep thinking long term.
