In case none of you were aware, I wanted to let you know I accidentally stumbled into a bar over the weekend on Thames St. in Fells Point, that shows EPL matches and will soon show Celtic matches as well. They have an extensive menu, and the brews are abit on the expensive side 5 bucks a pint but it's a proper 20oz. pint.

Jason, is the tender behind the bar on Saturday's and he's a Newcastle fan.
Anyhow, cheers, hopes this helps out (they very well will show a DC match granted nothing else is on and the bar isn't packed with golfers  )

Here's a website for them.

After finishing a nice big Sushi meal, 6 pints, a glass of whiskey and 3 pubs later I turn a corner as I am walking I am looking over my shoulder and trip on this step looking up I see a bar and say "This is New" wife replies, "It is let's go in."

I sit at the bar, look up and see a chalk board lsiting the morning matches. and the tender wearing a Newcastle jersey. Odd thing to see in Fell's Point really.

I left the place quite upright with a big "It's sunny and I'm tanked." grin on my face.

Nice discovery, you gotta love a chalkboard listing the matches and you got a pretty cool wife as well. Most of my friends wives have been known to groan when their husbands discover a new bar :)

I didn't realize that they had opened. I've been tracking their progress for the last few months.

Another place that is showing EPL & Serie A matches is....

Vaccaro's!

That's right, you too can gorge yourself on pastry while you watch the beautiful game any weekend in Little Italy.

What the frock?!

This sport may just grow to proper exposure in this country after all.
When cafe's are serving Cappuccino's and pastries, and World Class Football.....very cool.

Of course I prefer hops with my breakfast ;)

Maybe I will see you and/or finally meet you this Saturday?

My Goodness! Had no idea, congrats.

This Saturdays matches were nice Aiden and Jason the tenders were excellent, took the initiative to switch to Bundesliga during the EPL halftime, and it turns out they will be showing the majority of the WCQ next weekend (not the US's though....) and yes they do have Sentanta as well.

Hope to see some of you there sometime in the future.

I'm glad to hear that they have Setanta. No more driving to DC to watch those PPV qualies.

Yeah it is nice to know that it's right down the street. It's refreshing to know that two places have started showing matches.

of course I am going to start missing a lot of work.... ;)

On a side note...That Fox Sports Tier we were all discussing over and over this past summer. It is now available in most of the City.(Baltimore)

I just got my subscription. Still stands at $4.95 a month, you do not need to order Digital just swap your basic box for a digital box.
Also, news is that Fox Sports World is reinventing itself as Fox Soccer Channel and will only show soccer matches, no more rugby or racing.
Also, this Saturday's US/El Salvador match is available through Comcast if you have digital, or a digital box.

Cheers.

When I first subscribed to digital cable, FSW was part of the channel lineup. Since then my rates have increased and my channels have decreased, although they like to claim that they've added channels. Digital Music channels I don't need mother ********er!! COMCAST blows.

I totally agree with you but I figure if I can get several matches for 5 bucks a month it will curb my desire to spend 40 bucks a weekend on beer at this bar....making my wallet and wife much much happier.

I still plan on getting down there, my house doesn't have Smithwicks on tap.....yet ;)

20ozers? Good to know there is actually a selection in this city, for viewing soccer.

I don't think they serve it in anything other than a pint.
