Yes, it was a good movie about being a player. It was inspiring and fun to watch.

Because Americans are not as long-winded as Brits.

Example:

Brits: A brilliant strike from 16 yards off the left foot results in the fortitude of the back netting threads being tested.
Americans: GOAL!!!

Thats plain jokes and its true too:D

I think Shaolin Soccer and Bend it like Beckam are the best soccer movies.

Im glad someone else on here mentioned the baseball movie Fever Pitch, I was beginning to wonder if I was the only one that had heard or seen it. I havent seen the soccer based Fever Pitch, but will see if I can come across a copy somewhere.

Ive seen and liked Victory,Bend it Like Beckham, and Once in a Lifetime. Ive also seen other documentaries on soccer and the US womens team that won the World Cup.

I will have to check out alot of the others mentioned if I can find them at Movie Gallery or Video Warehouse or if they come on TV.

Does anyone know if "The Other Final" is available on Region 1?
I've only come across copies that work on European DVD players.

I would say that the best all time soccer movie would have to be Bend It Like Beckem. I thought it was both funny and educational.

I am pretty sure I rented that on Netflix. A brilliant movie. I change my vote! Thanks for reminding me. Any soccer fan needs to see this film.

Fever Pitch was great. Enjoyed Mean Machine as well.

Fav is still "Who is Jimmy Grimble". Who would honestly sign for Man City over Man Utd????

Just curious, does anyone remember the Sean Bean film where he played for Sheffield Utd???

Also there was one where a woman played for QPR and scored in the FA cup final. Not my cup of tea but interested what it was called. Know it starred Dennis Lawson (Wedge from Star Wars).......

Goal, and Goal 2 Living The Dream were really good. The new one being released this summer should be great, although I cant see Mexico winning the World Cup.:D
