i don't have a good picture of what the youth Iran team is like -- are there stars in the making? or do they have a more of a "team-oriented" play strategy? i'll try and find it to watch, but may not be able to, unfortunately. well, good luck to them! qatar shouldn't be any problem, don't ya think?

Gulf Arabs play anti-football so they are always a problem...90 min game and 27 mins of it the Qataris were grassrolling.
Also, Iranian Football Federation is to blame for our U-17 team placing 4th in Asia and now our U-19 almost being eliminated for their lack of preparations and unprofessionalism  IFF is only good at wasting our resources and talents.

Ganging up with another team ( with Bahrain in 2001 ) and offering them cars and cash to treat Iran like garbage on their home soil is worse than anti-football ;)
