I was so pissed I forgot to thank you for the match run down…Or maybe I was pissed at you for letting me know how bad they were playing..But thanks

Not a problem. I hated to be the bearer of bad news :(

When they scored their second I think I typed something simple like: "Goal 2-0 Valencia" while I was yelling sh!t at the computer screen.

My office mates looked at me rather oddly though as they had no clue what I was doing.

Hilarious...i mean about the office situation...not your pain...

Messr Houlier...er...Matt Clark...thanks for your analysis again...

If there was ever a vote for anyone in BS to become the Reds gaffer...you'd have my vote!?!?

(now if only that leaky back line could be solved...i'd be making a killing by now!?!?!?)

Needed to let this settle before posting. However, it really came down to skill and desire, and on this day we simply didn't have it. Murphy, Gerrard and Hamann appeared not to be on the pitch for the first 15-20 minutes. That is, they literally did not touch the ball, commit a foul, or do any thing to let the observer know they were there. The defense was shambolic, but they recieved no shield from the midfield. Valencia was motivated and simply played much better football than Liverpool. Diouf did nothing. Only Dudek and Heskey can be mentioned positively in the dispatchs. Jerzy made a number of excellent saves including an outstreched trailing leg save on Carew ( who only seems to be able to score on Arsenal). Emile worked hard for 90 minutes on offense and defense and fashioned the only chance of the first half. Owen and Cheyrou added some danger in the second half but even Mikie won't score in a 1 on 3 attack. Houllier and the lads have got to get back to basics and find a way to play organized, attractive soccer. If not I'll take the old boring days of the Uefa Cup treble.
