Rangers News:

Three straight league wins for our boys, but all against teams who have earned promotion in the last two seasons. Now, we go the other route, playing a Leicester team just relegated from the Premiership.

Arthur Gnohere is a doubt after coming off injured against Villa. Thorpe and Culkin should still be out. No word on whether Ainsworth is getting close.

The Opponent:

Leicester hasn't lost this month, with two wins (Rotherham away and Sheffield United at home) and a draw (Burnley at home). They, like Rangers, have started the season better away from home, having lost to Watford and Brighton at home, but having picked up two away wins (Derby and Rotherham) and one draw (Wolves) from their four away games (their away loss was to Millwall).

The Series:

Rangers hold a slight edge in the all-time series, 19-8-16. The teams haven't met in any competition since the 94/95 Premier League season, with Rangers winning at home and the teams playing to a 1-1 draw at Leicester. Before that one season, the teams hadn't met since 86/87.

The Referee:

Paul Robinson has been assigned. In six matches this year (2 Championship, 2 League One, 2 League Cup), he's issued 18 yellows and 2 reds (one each in both of his Championship matches). Last season, he worked our 0-0 away draw at Tranmere in which we had four yellows and Marcus Bignot was sent off. The year before, he worked our 2-2 home draw with Mansfield in which we had 3 yellows and Mansfield had 5 yellows and a man sent off. He doesn't seem to have worked in 01/02. In 00/01, he worked our 0-1 home loss to Blackburn (just 1 yellow issued total).

Oh man, I turned the computer off at half time to do yard work. I guess I have now learned my lesson.

I think I am starting to see a pattern...3-2. I am just glad that our boys are on the 3 end of that scoreline.

This is kind of a dream start to the season.

Injuries aside, can it be maintained? Is the talent there? And if not, can it be obtained?

I think so, I dont think we're playing above ourselves. Perhaps weve had a few lucky bounces in recent weeks (2 90th minute winners) but theres no reason to think where we were after 5 games is more like where we should be, or like where we are after 10.
