I think it may be a bit early for this thread, although it's fun to banter about. Why don't we give the team and new manager a bit of time to gel before we start writing people off, eh??

Good point, however, there is one player that I don't see staying, Nunez from Real Madrid. And most likely Dudek, he doesn't seem to be getting ready to spellbound the Nation with a great season.

I agree, let's axe Nunez. Hell, all the other Spanish siginings have been crap, so let's just extrapolate. Why let him drag our team down on the pitch when we could be fielding talent on the right wing like . . . erm . . . uh . . . never mind.

Here is waht I hope will happen. Garcia, Josemi and Alonso get career ending injuries. Dudek is sold for scrap and Benitez is publically sacked. Then Hitzfeld will enter the scene and Liverpool will win the Premiership and Champions League with the players "Der Professor" will bring in.

This thread is complete crap -- but Diouf is my nominee along with Harrison and Partridge. And if he doesn't step up Harry K. Harrison and Partridge may simply not be able to hold down a place. Diouf can leave with the S** up his arse. :D

I have to agree, John Arne Riise has been good, nothing out of the ordinary.
And Benitez is showing the fact that he only knows players from the country he had success in, Spain.
And you guys would be smart to wait till CL group phase ends before bashing him.

Maybe that's the source of the discrepency. I don't know how he would remedy that. I know the registration process here at BigSoccer is really exclusive, and it's a really arduous task to get your own user name . . .

Well...say what you will but I will blame Benitez. I am not at all happy with his spanish signings. I thought Garcia, Josemi and Alonso were all terrible today, especially Garcia.
