Not sold state side. Go to softwarefirst.com and order it. My copy came a week after I placed the order.

A patch from EA is needed. The game crashes on a lot of people, including me :( I have been able to go almost crash free but every now and again I get a crash. Manual saving is a must.

CM 4, FIFA 2003 are next on the list. When is CM 4 due? FIFA 2003 is in a month or two if I am correct.

Marc says he's trying to have CM4 out in December some time.
Can't wait for FIFA 2003 either.

When I pre-ordered CM4, I ordered TCM also. I got it a week or two ago and I'm torn.

On the one hand, I enjoy being able to build up the club's facilities and hiring the various staff members, like stadium managers and youth coaches. I really like the game's youth player system, picking how they train and if you even want to offer them a contract.

I think it would be nice if they had a cross of the CM and TCM interfaces when selecting your squad. I like seeing where the player I'm picking is on the field without having to switch back and forth from the 'tactics' screen. That's a minor thing, though.

On the other hand, I hate the fact that it crashes for no good reason. I've now controlled Celtic and Halifax for two seasons each. Both times, in the off-season leading up to season three, when I've tried to sign or sell a player, it crashes. It doesn't do me much good if I can't change my squad.

Also, the matches aren't the most realistic. If you do a 3D match, the amount of action for a '90 minute' match doesn't seem accurate. In a text mode match, there's hardly any action in most matches.

Overall, I would suggest waiting until the patch comes out and see how much good it does. If it eliminates the major problems, then it's a decent game. Otherwise, it's not worth the time and money if you can't have a career of any decent length of time.

I believe the official date will be announced on October 26th, but not positive.

www.sigames.com to stay up to date.

They say December 13, so take that for what you will. They were pretty accurate with TCM, given the time it takes for mail to cross the Atlantic.

Does anyone know if CM4 will be available in the US and where? If not where are some websites I could get it shipped in from the UK? One more question, I am going to Madrid in June of 2003 if I bought CM4 in Madrid would I be able to change the language to english?

"Does anyone know if CM4 will be available in the US and where?"
We're trying to obtain an American retail release but don't have anything guarenteed yet I'm afraid.

"If not where are some websites I could get it shipped in from the UK?"
www.sigames.com will as usual have the game for sale to any address anywhere in the world.

"One more question, I am going to Madrid in June of 2003 if I bought CM4 in Madrid would I be able to change the language to english?"
Yes you should be able to, if for some reason the distributor had removed the english language as an option (it has happened occassionally in the past) then you will be able to download a 'language patch' from sigames.com to enable any missing languages anyway.

Thanks for the info Marc. Hope CM4 is as good as it is supposed to be.
